Man, that would have been nice for the PS4! So, what do all of you think the PS4 console will look like. I personally think it will be big box that resembles the PS3 a little. I still am expecting something big and unexpected to happen. Like a new contender in the market or a shift in interests. Either way, I feel a sneaking premonition that one of the console giants isn't going to do that well in the eighth generation. And MG3, that's unlikely to happen. I think the Wii U and the PS4 will be strong contenders in the 2013 market. The main problem is opposition from the mobile and PC gaming market, because those games are getting more and more popular despite lacking depth. (Not meant to apply to PC games, a lot of those are epic) Status: It was really, really fun, guys - thanks for the ride!

Sony also makes phones. Actually, Sony makes a lot more besides gaming. I'm sure the PS4 might interest some of the people who are not interested in the Wii U. And there could be people who get both the Wii U and the PS4. Remember that E3 is about three months. There, people expect Sony to unveil the console and reveal new features and software. The conference on February 20 was only meant to be a teaser revelation. Sony is going to have to do the true show at E3 in order to show people what they have made. Nintendo was trying to convince people why they should buy the Wii U at E3 2011-2012. That said, IGN speculated that Sony may end up just trying to ask people "to think about the possibilities and why they should buy the PS4." Nintendo, on the other hand is going to show us new games, the reason why people should get a Wii U. I was kinda hoping Battlefield 4 to be announced at the PS4 press conference. But now I have to wait till freeking April >
Well, I guess its a good thing. It'll be a whole show made for battlefield. (Oh how much I love that game)... Anyway, remember Microsoft is in the market too. PS3 sales were higher in Europe, Xbox sales were higher in America. |

I know, but for some reason I can't see the Xbox 720 (or whatever it'll be called) succeeding in the market. I think the 360 will still outsell the 720 and many people are going to stick to it. The PS4 is looking cool, I might get it if some worthwhile games come up.

Here's the thing. It CAN emulate ps1 and ps2 easily. Sony wont make it backwards compatible. Sony will sell ps1, ps2 and maybe ps3 games for download, just like you can download smb for 3ds. Its a good technique for Sony to make some extra cash and get that money from total idiots that want to play ps2 games on a ps4  |

At least it might be able to play used PS4 games. I might get the PS4 and the new XBox when they come out. This would be first time I gave ever played a PlayStation before. Hell yeah. At last you guys mature! (get it? MATURE, get it, eh?)
Anyway, yes, triple A titles are mostly M for Mature, for example: Uncharted, Halo, Battlefield, Call of Duty, GTA, and more. Mario games are still triple A in my opinion, but not so much in other people's opinions. |

PC gaming is its own realm. It really hasn't interfered with console competition.
Mobile Gaming may pose some competition though ____________________

When the PS4 comes out, I will be 17 years old already. Well duh. There are 5 year-olds playing those games, I dont know why a 16 year old cant
And MG3, PC is its own realm, but there are many games ported from console to pc, so there is still competition. |

I never had much liking for M-rated games. I just didn't find them very appealing. I get how other people would, however, but my prefrontal cortex is over-developed, which leads to nullification of some primordial human instincts. (I.E. Lol i dont enjoy death. I dont think anyone that plays the games does. Its just a game. Thats what in trying to let everyone know. Its not the death, the weapons, the blood. I could care less if there was no blood, or no weapons. Its the teamwork, the competition, the fun.
For example, battlefield 3 is my favourite game. Why? Well its not because of the death. I kinda enjoy having unlocks for weapons, but i also enjoy the camos, which do not have anything to do with killing. I also love flying the jets, helicopters, tanks, bikes, jeeps, destructive buildings and vehicles, explotions, and 64 player HUGE maps. Besides, these games let you PLAY WITH YOUR FRIENDS, laugh with them while talking in chat. Teamwork, or tactical gameplay, competitive gameplay too. Maybe only trolling. There is so much you can do that you cannot simply do with a mario game. So much interaction with friends, with others. |

What I consider the main point of games is to allow you to do stuff which you could never do in real life.
Shooting games are fun since you can kill people, but nobody suffers harm and it doesn't mean that someone's ever gonna try and start shooting people in real life because of it
And while I'll admit that the PS (and PS Games) have MUCH better online capabilities and they're well utilised, but tbh Nintendo is more fun if you're playing with other people directly (like when all players are right next to each other). There's simply nothing more fun than to play either: Super Smash Bros. Melee/Brawl, any mario kart or any mario party with 3 friends. 
At the same time there's nothing more awesome than to play any PS3 Shooter with at least 5 friends (Playing shooters together with people physically just makes up annoying screenpeeking if you're playing against each other) ____________________ Former SMG2.5 Advertiser and one-time Level Designer/Artist - So Apparently Norway is rich while Denmark and Sweden are happy.
