New Super Luigi U! Fuck yeah! Man, I wish Nintendo would add a full-blown level editor to NSMBU. Unlike most games where you have to hack them to see the version, NSMBU displays the version in the bottom right corner if the title screen. This Luigi update will be version 2.4?

The DLC will not be a lot if money. It is simply a patch. Anyways, the trailer featured a background that reminded me of Dry Boneyard Galaxy...

It has been some time since the announcement of New Super Luigi U. Right now, however, I found some new information.

It turns out that Nintendo is not going to include a story. Not even a small story. SMG2 had a small story, but NSLU will just be levels, like Coin Battle from NSMBW, Coin Rush from NSMB2, Challenge Mode in NSMBU, etc. Mario games usually do not need to have a big story, but the complete lack of a story in NSLU takes away its "Weegee Time" feel. I personally think the words "Weegee Time" beg for a story. Also, Miyamoto said that some of the team wants Mario in NSLU, but Tezuka does not want to allow that. That is quite obvious as it is all about Luigi (duh).

Anyways, what do you guys think about NSLU having absolutely no story at all?

Ok, I hope nobody left. Any way, I honestly don't care. I never expected a story in the first game. I mean, the main game hardly has a story. I'm fine.

Also, why would any one want Mario in it. That would defeat the entire purpose if what this is for.

Not a huge story. Just something as short as a description that says "Luigi wants to defeat Bowser and rescue the worlds." And it was some of the Nintendo team that wanted Mario in. I hope the levels will be fun to play nonetheless.

Ah at least I hope they change the bosses a bit somehow :3

And also it would be cool if they introduced some new powerups. Maybe a powerup which makes Luigi invisible (Like in SM64DS). The advantages with that powerup could be total immunity from enemy collision and projectile damage, but the drawback would be that you would probably have a hard time seeing him on screen, and you would fall down pits more easily :)
