Ok, now several people have stated that the SMG2.5 project will have more than 242 stars. Are we really adding new stars and making more missions over galaxies that didn't originally have them? I mean, I know it's easy to add new stars with Whitehole's BSCV editor. Even I've added some.

Can someone who's not as lazy as me review our designs and total up a list of stars for the project? And is there a limit to how many stars can be added, or does it rack up to 999 before it turns over?

Actually, I think that there are 242 stars in this as well. I remember people telling me that we're having over 242 stars, though :/

Yeah, there will be over 242, because some galaxies have 3 normal stars instead of 2.

I counted about 242 when I looked at Agent's chart...

If ever world has five six-star galaxies and two four-star galaxies, then I calculate there will be 266 stars total.

I'm going to see just how many stars a galaxy can have without freezing by just selecting it. I theorize 12. Also, I'm gonna rack the counter up to about 300 and see what happens. I'll post my progress soon.

I can confirm that; when I made the chart I triple-checked to make sure it was 242.

MN1 tried a long time ago to make 9 and it failed, but IDK. It may have messed up or something. Have at it :P

That was before we had a BCSV editor and text editing.

I feel like if we can have more stars we should take advantage of it. Like, give one major galaxy in each world a lot of stars similar to big galaxies in Smg

I already have a seven-star galaxy that is perfectly functional. And a 5-star.

We still do not know what happens if you get over 999 stars.

It works just fine...

But why the hell would we add over 999 stars?

Someone asked on another thread. We do not need over 999 stars but I was just asking out of curiousity.

I'm pretty sure that Nintendo made the amount of Power Stars collected an 8-bit value, which means the maximum would be 255 Power Stars.

I'll still try and add them. I'm at 248 currently.
