In this thread, changes made to the board will be reported. Note that only significant updates will be posted. Little updates will be done at your discretion
The board just got an update that affects every part of it. It's about prepared SQL queries and stuff. Everything seems to be mostly working, however if you find something that is failing, please let me know and I'll fix it asap. Important note: if the issue is a 'MySQL Error', please send me a PM or an email (thetotalworm at gmail dot com) rather than posting it publicly. Also, tables can now be made easily with BBCode. Example:
We also now have an uploader. And more themes. Enjoy! ____________________ NSMBHD - Kafuka - Jul melonDS the most fruity DS emulator there is zafkflzdasd |

Incoming update
* pagination on showprivate has been fixed, you may now view all your old PMs * the ObjectDB can now show only unknown/known/complete objects, as suggested by NWPlayer123 * a rankset has been added (the famous Mario rankset) * your profile page now shows how many objects you edited in the ObjectDB, and related stats... * new theme added: Purple Night ____________________ NSMBHD - Kafuka - Jul melonDS the most fruity DS emulator there is zafkflzdasd |

The ObjectDB just got a few new cool features:
* Last changes page: shows the last changes (obviously) and allows one to compare two revisions of an object * New search behavior: the object search now returns objects whose name or ID contain the term entered. The term is also highlighted in the results. Character '_' matches any character, '%' matches multiple characters. The board software will also get a large global update soon. The update comprises, among other things, a more secure login system, and improvements that make the code easier to work with. Edit- another ObjectDB update. Despite all the measures I took to avoid having objects marked Complete with undocumented Obj_args (posting several explanation threads, and even implementing a warning in the ObjectDB itself), it recently happened again. I'm sick of it. Now the ObjectDB will refuse to save your changes if you try to mark an object Complete when it has undocumented Obj_args. ____________________ NSMBHD - Kafuka - Jul melonDS the most fruity DS emulator there is zafkflzdasd |

Quite. Revision systems are the shit, quit being lazy!
The board has been updated to the latest ABXD codebase. Changes include a safer login system, and better code. Tell me asap if anything goes wrong. ____________________ NSMBHD - Kafuka - Jul melonDS the most fruity DS emulator there is zafkflzdasd |

Gah, this thread is getting outdated.
So yeah, as you already have noticed, new site layout. Clearer homepage and all. Still subject to potential changes though. Also I'll make a decent download page rather than just linking to the uploader. Oh and I'm adding stuff to the uploader. The 'Whitehole releases' category will hold the Whitehole releases (duh) and be featured in the downloads page. If any non-admin member is able to put files in that category, they should tell me about it asap. Edit- download page has been made. It's linked in the main menubar. The uploader link was moved to the forum submenu bar. ____________________ NSMBHD - Kafuka - Jul melonDS the most fruity DS emulator there is zafkflzdasd |

Big update. Security issues have been fixed.
The way downloads work has also been modified. Certain people apparently linked Whitehole by linking to https://kuribo64.net/get.php?id=11 directly. Following this link will now propose them to download the most recent Whitehole version. The same holds true for any outdated Whitehole link. It's still better to link to Kuribo64's downloads page, though. ____________________ NSMBHD - Kafuka - Jul melonDS the most fruity DS emulator there is zafkflzdasd |

A new theme has been added: Nostalgia. It's based on Nina's Flat Gray theme, with a blue coloring and a Goomba-themed background made by me.
The name Nostalgia has been chosen for two reasons: because the background features graphics from SMB, and because the theme itself is reminiscient of some older Acmlmboard2 themes. ____________________ NSMBHD - Kafuka - Jul melonDS the most fruity DS emulator there is zafkflzdasd |

The file download system has been updated. IDs are now random 16-character strings rather than linearly incrementing numbers.
The good sides is that your private files are really private. Before, if someone came in and tried random file IDs, they would eventually download private files. Now they can't guess file IDs, so they can't access your private files unless you give them a link. The bad side is that all the existing links no longer work. The download system takes this into account so that users aren't left alone in the void, but it would still be better to update your links ____________________ NSMBHD - Kafuka - Jul melonDS the most fruity DS emulator there is zafkflzdasd |

Another new feature: Favorites.
Basically, you add threads you like to your favorites. Your Favorites page then shows all these threads, and lets you know which ones have new posts in no time. If people really want it, I could also add optional email notification linked to the favorites (ie you get an email when someone replies to a thread you have in your favorites). ____________________ NSMBHD - Kafuka - Jul melonDS the most fruity DS emulator there is zafkflzdasd |

Maybe a PM as an alternative to an email? Status: It was really, really fun, guys - thanks for the ride!

Nah, that would get spammy. The idea behind email notification is to let people know about stuff without requiring them to check the board. PM notification is pointless as they can just directly check their favorites page. ____________________ NSMBHD - Kafuka - Jul melonDS the most fruity DS emulator there is zafkflzdasd |

But an email every time....? That would fill some inboxes quickly, especially if you favorited something like the town square. Just trying to come up with something efficient. Status: It was really, really fun, guys - thanks for the ride!

PM notification would fill a PM inbox about as fast. It'd also be worse since, unlike emails, PMs are stored in the board's database and thus take space on the server.
Anyway, if I ever implement it, email notification will be made optional and disabled by default. ____________________ NSMBHD - Kafuka - Jul melonDS the most fruity DS emulator there is zafkflzdasd |

We now have HTTPS, courtesy of Dirbaio I personally don't find it very useful, but I guess it's nice to have it.
Here. It'll tell you that the certificate isn't trustable, you have to accept it. Good certificates cost a ton of money. Unrelatedly, I also fixed several CSRF issues with the uploader. I guess it's finally secure now. ____________________ NSMBHD - Kafuka - Jul melonDS the most fruity DS emulator there is zafkflzdasd |
