Okay, so recently I've worried about youtube videos we post giving away too much about SMG2.5, and I've given it some thought. Here's what I came up with:
Music: I get that we want recognition for our music, and posting it on Youtube helps that. However, it could give away too much about the project. So, I think that we should initially make our music private, then once it is approved, post it to the public with an original name. (For instance, Wind Garden was the name for Gusty Garden Galaxy) What I mean is we shouldn't call the music the exact name of the galaxy it's for. That gives away way too much. However, I do agree that posting music will bring more attention to 2.5 Levels: This is the big one. NO FINAL MODELS OR LEVELS SHOULD BE POSTED. That is completely spoiling the game! If we're making models for the game, why ruin the surprise? Anyway, what do you guys think on the matter? Btw: First thread by me on kuribo or smg2.5! |

For the levels naturally we won't release them to the public (or models either!). However I think we should release some "random" levels (like Cloud Course Galaxy) which will not be in the final game to the public, so that we can get more recognition and show people even more what we're capable to do (well.. Cloud Course isn't exactly a great example, but it's one of the "random" levels that I'm talking about).
For the music we should definitely either make the music completely private or change the name to something totally non-revealing (like when we make the music for a Bowser level, we can upload it to youtube under simply the name "Bowser (jr.) Level" so there will be no spoilers and yet people will still be able to enjoy the music!) Also remember we can't keep EVERY single thing private. If we do then people will think that the project is dead (especially since it'll take quite a while to release it)  ____________________ Former SMG2.5 Advertiser and one-time Level Designer/Artist - So Apparently Norway is rich while Denmark and Sweden are happy. I still find it bullshit on how a couple of members, (Not naming anybody...) are commenting on SMG2.5 videos as well.
Here's an example.

That has to end, here. People on this project are saying this stuff, spoiling the whole thing. I don't want to see any of these comments, and I'm not trying to backseat mod or anything, because this is true. We shouldn't be showing whats in the final. Level Progress, and Music should be set to PRIVATE on youtube, or just uploaded to Sound Cloud or Mediafire for download. Hopefully people will take this into consideration to stop. ____________________ a |

Fixed (mostly) my videos. Dry Boneyard and Toxic Terror had to keep their titles (it is engraved in my video), but Edge of the Universe is now completely spoiler free. All spoiler descriptions now removed. ____________________
