Only issue I can find with it is that the background doesn't tile seamlessly but it's barely noticeable.

Depends on the theme apparently, the New Kuribo themes mess with post boxes in special ways. It looks fine on Nostalgia.

Also well that layout isn't bad. Guess the bright/dark contrast can be frowned upon. It seems to be a common thing at Jul though, there are quite a few layouts with white backgrounds there.

Meh, not really a new layout, but I fixed the ugly green that would happen while the image loads. Now it's a much more fitting black. Oh, and I also put a new, unique font in.

I like the aesthetically pleasing effect that my new avatar has on my layout.

It's Helvetica Light. You're using a Macbook Pro, so go into Font Book and check that it's there. It should be - You may just not notice the difference.
