Here is how to make the text box darker:

Go to the layout in edit profile, and locate the .mainbar27 part.

Should be like this:

.mainbar27 div.main
{
margin: 15px;
padding: 15px;
background: rgba(0,0,0, 0.3);
border: 1px hidden #1D62D1;
border-radius: 1px;
color: white;
font-family: "Lucida Sans Unicode";
text-shadow: -1px -1px black, 0px -1px black, 1px -1px black, 1px 0px black, 1px 1px black, 0px 1px black, -1px 1px black, -1px 0px black;
}

Now change it to:

.mainbar27 div.main
{
margin: 15px;

So that it's just one big image? I would do that however the sidebar wouldn't match up to the mainbar..meaning the background would get cut off and not look smooth. Also the side image won't show up? Also I shadowed it so it could be readable.. and you're saying it still isn't? Not this again. :P

Alrighty, I will edit the post with my result.

edit: I decided to trash the layout, because..well.. It was giving me a hard time.. I literally mean a bullshit fucking time. Everything was going smooth, got it looking nice.. and then bam.. it fucked up..the text box was missing and it was like nothing was even working anymore at all. I didn't even fucking touch anything!

This is specifically why I hate working with code.. <_<
Time to request another from SMWC then..

Board update renders !important crap useless. Also, changes to layouts. Now it's either no sidebars, or sidebars but without the board's theme backing them.

Which also means that board themes no longer conflict with layouts.

You can put some statistics in your post layout (or also in the post themselves). Here's the list:

Tag Replacement
&postnum& Number of this post (0 on sample posts)
&postcount& Your total postcount
&numdays& Number of days since you have registered
&date& Today's date
&rank& Your rank (image+text)

(try to make original uses of it, don't just repeat your sidebar stats in your layout :P )
