Hello! :)
I'm having major problems with converting skinned models with SuperBMD to the bdl format used by the Mario Galaxy games. This is a fatal issue that I have been struggling with in the last few months and that prevents me from making any progress such as completing the new trailer for Super Mario Gravity.

Even when exporting and re-importing original models, they become very buggy and/or simply crash the game.

The models i want to import are made entirely from scratch along with their own skeleton but sadly every model that has a skeleton gets glitchy when converted to bdl/bmd:

(the image above shows a test where i exported and reimported the unused "OtaJack" model from the first Super Mario Galaxy game)

I've tried .dae and .fbx files to convert and also looked at the character import tutorial from the Mario Kart Double Dash modding wiki since the game uses bmd files which can also be used for Mario Galaxy. Even after following the instructions, I still get the same glitchy results.
It only works for me when i set all weights from a mesh to 1 or 0 for some reason.

Here is the command i first tried for importing:
SuperBMD.exe model.dae --tristrip all --degeneratetri --bdl

I also tried multiple Blender versions for exporting.

Here are some test models i tried, it has an fbx, dae and two .arc archives with one having the bdl exported from the dae and one from the fbx.


And here is another very basic test model, that still crashes the game.

If someone can help me and/or knows another tutorial about importing skinned models, please let me know!
