Giant Diggas sound awesome to me. There could be two rings of Giant Diggas. The outer ring has four Giant Diggas, and the inner ring has two Giant Diggas.

HRE by Giant enemies I meant like Mini-Bosses (and only a few of them). This isn't Supermassive :P

I know that not everyone wamts walkways and Airships in this galaxy, but some Airships could be in the background. We could go for something like a castle from 3D Land, but with no lava so that it is not not gravity-wavky and exclusively have lava. The area should be larger than usual, so that it not like a walkway-exvlusive Bowser level This could be before the castle with the castle being like a Mario Kart Bowser's Castle and with a foyer, hallways, rooms, and what not.

Also, tanks in here sound awesome. Seperate tank pieces will be im Shrapnel Sandbar, so why not whole, working tanks in here?

This may seem a bit too out there, but what about at least one propellor plane that Mario can hitch a short ride on? I'm not sure what exactly the paper airplanes will look like in Papet Caper, but I suppose those will be delta wing. That's why a propellor could be used here.

Perhaps a whole fleet of castles and fortresses with a ton of airships could be in the level. :3
And as I've mentioned, the level should focus more on defeating actual enemies than platforming. e.g. rows of Hammer Bros., squadrons of Magikoopas, ambushes from enemies, etc.

Grandmaster had a few sections that had a lot of enemies. Something like that could be in this galaxy, but with less platforming (especially extremely hard platforming).

Edit-Here are some ideas for possible sections:

Mario is top of a supersonic propellor plane TailSpin historical fiction/propellorpunk. The wings are quite large and Mario can walk on the plane's body. If possible, Silver Chomps come out of black wormholes and Mario must use Bob-ombs to fling off the Silver Chomps.

There is a giant battlefield with tanks shooting cannonballs and Bullet Bills. Hammer Bros., Boomerang Bros., and Magikoopas are all present here and some of the enemies are even on top of the tanks.

I agree with the idea of mowing down enemies instead of hard platforming. Hard platforming goes with Edge Of The Universe since most enemies are dead, so don't put platforming in your designs. I think it should be about going through airships to go to a castle. Use the one in the trailer 'cause that one was epic.

I'm surprised noone has suggested a "pit of trials". IDK what the Paper Mario version is like since I've never even gone in it, but it is the galaxy before the final battle, so I would think it should be.

Basically, the level should focus on Mario ripping his way through Bowser's entire combined army, fleets, and castles. :P
Like, moving airships with rows of Hammer/Boomerang Bros. on them, walkways on top of castles with lines of blockades, spiral staircases in a tower with more enemies, hallways with armies of Goombas, a large steel room holding cages of Chomps and Silver Chomps, lava filled rooms with Podoboos and Burn Bits, etc...

I personally think maybe you should design this gc, I really liked your other Bowser galaxy designs from the past. Plus you seem like you got ideas for this, you just need to convey them.

Since the camera can be top-down, that would be an interesting concept were there are Goombas, Spinies, and Firebars. Also, Green and Red Koopas could be used to open chests and defeat enemies in other sections.

Not a 2D section. A section that still allows you roam in a z-axis but the camera if facing downwards towards the floopr. Like some Zelda games and that one level in Super Mario 3D Land.

Planes? Submarines? Where did that come from? This is basically a toned down version of Grandmaster with an actual theme instead of random objects, and you're symbolically tearing through his forces and airships to try to get to Bowser in the next galaxy.

Which brings up the point - I think there should be an entire section devoted to airships and such, I liked that part in Space Junk where you explored the life size Airships, we should bring it back and ramp up the difficulty with Boomerang Bros and Magikoopas and such.


Toned down Grandmaster? Isn't EoTU supposed to be that? From that sentence I just said, I got the idea of the planes and previous posts mentioned tanks.

Both of them are, it's just supposed to be a matter of perspective. Going through Bowser's fleets (this) and then invading Bowser's Stronghold (EotU).

Huh, I thought this was Bowser's fleet, army, and strongholds, while EotU was just the black hole/dark matter wasteland near the edge of the universe, with Mario following Bowser past the edge.

Nothing says the stronghold can't be in the next galaxy - it has to, it's the final battle. However, that's for another thread, for now let's focus on this and get a design made.
