Apparently. And it's the final boss of the galaxy I mentioned, at the top of the tallest tower.
We don't have to trash the themed tower idea, it adds more flare to the looks, which I like.

Nah, it's too impractical to use the machine, and it's NSK's silly idea which we don't have to use, whereas glem is the almighty lord of everything :P Plus fighing giga lakitu on the top of the tower would make sense anyways. the machine is big and clunky.

Personally I am imagining this galaxy to have the feel and mood of the final part of SM3DL's last level (not the Crown level, but like the final level of the main game where the final boss is).

I mean it also fits your guys's wanted moods too, as it's rainy, clody and somewhat dark too. I also think that at least one of the themed towers should feature cannons :3

A small tower/tank fought on top of a large (round) tower...
(Did you know in my Chinese version, the Boomsday Machine is renamed something like "Wind and rain summoning tower")
Anyway, seriously, why Giga Lakitu? Most of the danger from him was falling off. And a flat top would look weird.
To be honest, I don't see any way to make him anywhere near dangerous.
Also, he isn't very menacing. Be better as a sub-boss. :P

I personally would like to have Boomsday Machine instead, since having Yoshi here would be kinda random...And he's going to be used for almost all of Final Frontier

A flat tower top is required for the Boomsday Machine. I doubt the thing would work well on a parabolic surface. The tower where the Boomsday Machine is fought on needs to be very long and wide so that the Machine can fit on it.

That's the point that's TRIED to have been made this entire thread HRE. I doubt people will listen now. The tower would need to be gigantic and it's not at all practical.

Actually, looking at the battle again, the arena was much smaller then I remember. In fact, that's pretty much the exact width that the towers SHOULD BE.
The idea is that you'll be fighting enemies on the top of each tower, hence the themes. Like a spooky tower with magikoopas and such. The problem is grouping each enemy into a category and then using them.

Well hopefully all this can be finished quickly once we're all out of school. The way this is going it seems like it'll easily be approved and we can start work. I'll probably model this one eventually.

So add some gravity to the towers? That would be nice, considering most of the towers in Mario games have one way gravity. An exception would be the part in Galaxy Generator that had lava, Thwomps, Bullet Bills, and Banzai Bills in a cylinder. That cylinder was in fact a tower. A sideways tower could be another idea here, but without all the lava.
