Except that would be kinda repetitive since we have an entire galaxy dedicated to a factory (Fearsome)

Good news a preview of the Normal/Begin Tower!

This is a preview of the whole tower.

the upside and underside are the same it would be cool if you stand on the underside and the rain is reversed :)

You shouldn't start modelling unless your design has been approved. Also, try using img tags.

OK, I see why. It still needs to be interesting though and just a plain stone pillar. No one has mentiomed the enemy challenges every so floors in a while. Then, there is also a spiral staircase on the exterior while having Giga Lakitu throw Spinies. The enemy challenges and the Giga Lakitu assault on the outside staircase should be enough to keep at least the main tower interesting.

During the Giga Lakitu tower escape (Whatever you want to call it?), we could also have those cone-shaped shell enemies along the way as well. I believe they appeared in Boo Moon and either Starshine Beach or Cosmic Cove Galaxy, I can't remember for sure.

Spiny Hermits? Yes. They would also work inside the tower(s). We can pretty much do anything with Spiny Hermits since they can be put on any surface. Instead of using mines, Souny Hermits could be used. I can't believe I completely forgot about Spiny Hermits!

The models still need to be approved though. The main tower looks nice! It will obviously need some work so that Mario can explorw it inside. The roof definitekt seems usable for a Boomsday fight.

I was thinking for one of the towers we could have a jail inside that would have the Toad Brigade in the cells. xD

And you had to get them out for a launch star to appear or something.

I don't think we should use the Toad Brigade here. I mean, you know that they're not courageous enough to go that close to a fortified Bowser Jr. base.

Or maybe the Toad Nrigade is jailed inside the Boosmday Machine, like the Gearmos in Heavy Metal Mecha-Bowser. But, editing bosses that way is too difficult to accomplish.

Sry that model of me wasn't supposed to be the main tower but the normal miss type o_o (I've changed it)
But I think the main tower should be bigger and more beautiful :3
Also sorry guys for already modeling I thought my outside design was accepted, stupid -_-

There are many things we can do with needle traps. Martboo demonstrated in his "Curiosity with Switches" video that you can activate spikes via a Starspin. There could be floors, walks, and even ceilings covered in spikes and spinning would have to used in order to hide the spikes.

Well we should start thinking about trying to get this wrapped together and posted as a new thread, which is your job KoopaNarf. Try finishing the design, and putting together all the parts you have into one thread and post it like we usually do with designs. Then we can review and revise it like everything else. KoopaNarf I saw your design images. They were pretty awesome and have a lot of potential.

Here is some advice for your design though,
-for the 6 surrounding towers have the starting one be the shortest and have the others be a bit taller than the last.
-To get between the 6 surrounding towers have a unique way for each one. Ex. for the first to the second have basic platforming. the next have advanced platforming, third use a powerup etc.
-I'd like to have a crumbling feel to this galaxy, such as broken tower or broken aspects. Also I think this should be a dark level and have it be creepy.
-Also if you want to model I'd suggest using something like Blender or Maya because it is much more official than sketchup, also the proportions on the tower seem off.

Overall I like what you have started and if you make those changes there is a good chance it will be approved. Also you should try the style of explaining the section in a paragraph and then giving an image. Also when you are done you should post the full design in a separate thread labeled star 1.

Yeah, that seems like a good idea, continuously scaling the towers to eventually reach the boss at the top of the tallest and widest tower.

Yeah, what I said on the IRC a few minutes ago. Also, I agree with cosmo here. It'd be cool to have some broken chains dangling down from the side of a tower or something. It'd really add to the 'menacing' feel.
