Post your Concept art for Ghostly Graveyard Galaxy here. There have been multiple ghost levels in the past so we want this to be different but still feel the same, we should test out different color schemes and see what works.

NWP has posted some potential Concept Art relating to this level

Most previous ghost galaxies have focused on haunted mansions and the like, but I like the idea of this being a smaller galaxy with more densely-packed formations and more going on on each planet. Maybe we could have those unused pig-balloon things for creepy effect, like floating around the planet.

Those were from a different game, those were not mario at all. Plus I don't really like the idea of them. the other part I like, where it's more focused on one thing

I wonder, is it possible to destroy a part of the galaxy objects?
Like, lets say there is something hidden in a grave, and you have to destroy it to access this new part, and maybe the reward is a star, or something like that, since the grave that had to be busted open could be any other one.

Yes, there are lots of "break" variations of objects, so it can't be that hard.

That's an interesting idea...I might make a part like that and update my design for this galaxy

I just realized this doesn't really belong in the concept art thread. :P

Actually, it does, since it's the visuals, and models that you will see.
Anyways, the art direction that I'm going for with this is normal, dirt planets and stuff, and basically these 2 pictures

I thought so. Also, the dead tree is part of the planet, right?

that one is, but it would be simple to import as a new object

I'd think that dark matter and snake blocks like in boo moon would be good for a level, or we could do something like a boo house.

You should probably read the topic first; not to mention you should probably post that in Level Design instead.

Anyways, in the interest of not making this a useless post, it'd probably be a GREAT idea to take inspiration from Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon when it comes out.

That's what I'm waiting for xD
I hope to play it in depth and then incorporate lots of stuff into this, particularly in the mansion segment.

Less waiting and more doing IMO. There's enough screenshots to get the general atmosphere of LM:DM and since we're not emulating the whole game it doesn't take a whole lot to get inspiration. Just pull what feels compelling from the screenshots, work them into the concept art, and eventually put them as a major portion of this level's aesthetic.
