Hello everyone. I was wondering if any of you know any good beginner projects for Rom hacking. You know. Something easy that will show me the basics of this stuff. I am in a hurry so sorry for an undetailed question like this. Thank you for any responses. |

Posted by FinalShroom81 Some good games for hacking are 3rd gen Pokemon games like FireRed, using Advance Map, and SM64. ____________________ Website | Twitter |

Like TheKoopaKingdom suggested, 3rd Gen Pokémon games and SM64 are good ones to start with.
I had next to no experience with hacking, and found Advance Map to be pretty simple for editing maps and such in Pokémon FireRed, and SM64 was surprisingly easy to import maps with the right tools. There's also tools like Lunar Magic for Super Mario World, and Hyrule Magic for A Link to the Past, and they're great to start out with too in my opinion. |

I think that NSMB is a good game to start with. ____________________ Nothing to say, so jadnjkfmnjamnfjkldnajfnjkanfjdksan jsdnvj m. |

NSMB definitely. Very easy to hack, requires little computer knowledge to do it. Also DS flashcarts (like R4) are relatively easy to get, so you can play your hacks. ____________________ Sorry for the maintenance -- we'll be back soon! |
