Alright, I'll do that when I want to work on this again. (which will probably be tomorrow)

And on a somewhat related note, can you add the boot thing I suggested in the other thread? :P

It be of useful to see what are the base stat growth the board code applies to users, so you can try to come with a proper formula, but dunno where to find that info (Staple might know the full details)

And sure, I'll see what items I can add tomorrow, as there might be more suggestions :P

Well, I would make it on my main board, but then I'd have to convert the whole thing to an Acmlmboard. :P

And resetting the RPG stats every month or so (or whenever the game or whatever is over) is a good idea. I'll see what I can do.

Does Acmlmboard have support for plugins? I honestly forgot if it does

If it has support, then maybe we could code something that could wipe the RPG stats whenever the staff choose to.

Heh, found a version of 1.92.08 floating around the internet. Too bad I can't get install.php to work, or that would've been fun to mess with.

I'll get AB2 up and running, then. :P

Really stupid, sort of relevant question: What does MDf stand for? I feel like I should know this but I can't come up with an answer

Hm. That could work, but where's the magic attack stat then? :P

er, good point

you have magic points (MP) though. I guess MDf would reduce how much an attack can alter them, just like Def would protect your HP.

this is all theory though, the game has never existed. iirc the stats are based off early Final Fantasy.

Isn't that "intelligence"?

No lol.

In some RPG's, intelligence is, well, exactly what it says. It's how smart your character is. Depending on how smart you are, you can/can't do things until your character "learns" how to.

The combinations of equipment I experimented with always seem to make me have low speed... *sigh* It's kind of important to go first in an RPG.

But look where it is in relation to defense and magic defense...

And I don't know, Tales of Symphonia has the intelligence stat stand for BOTH magic attack and magic defense so naturally, I thought it would be magic attack.

Where it is on that stat table doesn't matter, it's what it says that it matters.

i'm pretty sure it's supposed to be magic attack

magic is, after all, commonly associated with intelligence

If you're not sure what it is, you make inferences based on facts. That's how I drew to my conclusion and made the guess in the first place. It's called an "educated guess".
