I don't listen to too many different kinds of music, though the two I tend to listen to the most are glitch hop and electro swing. I swear im not a hipster  Rap is really hit or miss for me, there's way too much of it though imo.____________________ Hacking LM and trying to not suck. Weeeeeeee. |

I like music that's.. you know, in a rock type of way. I really like Chapter 6: Dark Pit from Kid Icarus Uprising as it starts out slowly and smoothly, and then it starts to go faster and faster. Really reminds me of Evanescence. |

You probably might like mainstream rock music then.
Usually if a video game music has a particular style to it, I think the...nonvgm...yeah for the lack of a better word...artists do a better job for the same music. I think the only reason people who listen to vgm instead of more mainstream music is that 1. mainstream music is popular 2. it's associated with favorite games and 3. people probably haven't heard about some artists before, so just bliss ignorance For example, Super Mario 3D World's soundtrack. Its big band jazz is really nice and all, but it can't really beat say, Gordon Goodwin's Big Phat Band's big band jazz. I'm not going out of my way of hating VGM, as I did have similar thoughts about it in the past, that all songs with lyrics suck and stuff, and some VGM can still be fun and good to listen to, like Persona's music, buuuuuut, they're mostly just kinda boring now. |

Meh, stuff like Destroyed Skyworld's Smash remake is something you can't really get anywhere else. It's pretty much my favorite theme by far. |

Space Fantasy is my favorite of the Galaxy music, but it's really no match for some of the Spore ambient space music.

I generally listen to either "EDM" songs or calm/serene music (Mario Golf's OST for example 1 2 3).
