So what is this all about? You can discuss your least favorite games you played in your life. Here are some rules:
1: You must explain why. Don't just say the game or show a picture. 2: COMMON SENSE Anyway, the worst game I ever played was LEGO Star Wars II on The DS. It is a bad port with horrible levels and just boring gameplay. It is the most easiest game I have ever played. There is also glitches. Did they even test this game? 4/10 Plain Awful Discuss your least favorite games in the posts below! ____________________ Ugh, forget post layouts. |

well
a thread for discussing the worst games you played, why not but when I see the rules, I just think, why 1. "game is so bad it's good" has a comical sense, I don't see why it should be forbidden 2. "The game must only be a Nintendo, Capcom, SEGA, and a Konami game only. This rule is done to stop things for being redundant." why limit it to a few editors of your choice? and why would it be "redundant"? (on a related note, that sentence contains 'only' twice, that is redundant) 3. unlicensed games aren't automatically bad, so again I don't see why they should be forbidden (and you're being redundant again, rule 2 already excludes unlicensed games implicitly) 4. and 5. okay, makes sense ____________________ NSMBHD - Kafuka - Jul melonDS the most fruity DS emulator there is zafkflzdasd |

anyway, to be somewhat on-topic
I have played Rayman3D, which is a 3DS port of Rayman 2: The Great Escape. The original game is great, so you'd think that a remake of it in 3D would be awesome. You'd be wrong. Ubisoft wanted to be within the first ones to release 3DS games. They carelessly copypasted the Rayman2 code and released the game without testing it first. And it shows. Upside-down torch flames, looping sound effects (button timers for example) that don't loop, missing distance fog, etc... The game is full of that kind of pathetic glitches that happen because they failed to take the platform's specificities into account. They're lucky that the game can be completed at all. It's so bad that it's an insult to the original game. The 'missing distance fog' bug is particularly noticeable in the prisonship slide level. That level normally has thick black fog, reinforcing the frightening feel of the place (it is your arch-enemy's ship, after all). On the 3DS, the fog is missing, and instead you see things disappear abruptly in a really close back plane, in a pretty pathetic effect. ____________________ NSMBHD - Kafuka - Jul melonDS the most fruity DS emulator there is zafkflzdasd |

I played Mario Part Advanced, it was mediocre, and boring. There aren't any real boards, and you don't compete against other people, not even CPU players, and very few of the mini games have multiplayer support. You're basically just running tasks for the characters, such as getting a train ticket for a Goomba. Not to mention the awful mechanics, for example you have lives, and every turn you loose a life, and you're in a car like in MP9, and MP10. It's a poor attempt at a GBA adaptation of Mario Party, don't waste your money on this. ____________________ MKDS Hacking & Modding Discord: https://discordapp.com/invite/CAktUYP |

Speaking of bad 3DS ports, lemme tell you about Cave Story 3D.
Don't get me wrong, I absolutely loved the original, and Cave Story+ is the greatest thing I've ever laid my young eyes on. Of course a 3D port would be fabulous! The models look terrible, albeit close to the sprites in the original. Having the models look just like the original sprites sounds good on paper, but in practice, it just doesn't look right. Also, the animations of said models look pretty bad too. The liberties they took on the level design bugs the crap out of me. A few extra blocks here and there, that entrance moved over there, and so on. No. The zooming on the screen, it ruins it. The original didn't zoom for a reason, it hinders your ability to see everything around you and you end up missing some hidden item or something. It's just insulting to the Btw, if you've never played Cave Story, it's freeware on cavestory.org. But I'd recommend downloading Cave Story+ on Steam for the full experience of this masterpice! ____________________ NNID: GreenThunder1337 3DS FC: 1521 - 5979 - 1511 |

Yoshi's Island DS
The music is boring and annoying, the graphics are ugly new graphics or bad recreations of the original YI's graphics and the level design is boring. It is an insult to the original (masterpiece) game! |

I love the Yoshi's Island DS graphics though...I mean they made the only character in the game worth caring about nearly perfectly, and they made more sprites for him other than him looking like he's stuck in a snowball.
Though Baby Mario's Yoshi's Island DS sprites are also pretty gr8 as well. Yoshi's Island DS is still pretty damn insulting for a Baby Luigi fan like me though. They made all of those babies (pretty much in existence) usable and no Baby Luigi ;~~~~~~~; Ironically, I'm never a fan of any Yoshi's Island games. There's just something about its game mechanics and physics that I don't like. But I think the worst game I personally played is Pokemon Dash. For starters, I was expecting that you can use more Pokemon other than Pikachu (Torchic is there godammit, make me use it!). Second, it's a tap-heavy game, meaning that it will physically wear on you and your touch screen pretty damn quickly: you have to constantly rub the screen in a direction to keep Pikachu moving. Finally, the in-game graphics are pretty damn ugly and the music sucks. It's been a while since I last played it and I'm not missing out on it at all. The worst game ever? I dunno. There's a lot of contenders. Sonic Free Riders, Ride to Hell: Retribution, Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing, Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric, any bad Steam game due to its bad quality control (like Air Control), The Slaughtering Grounds (and any game developed by Digital Homicide, they're probably the worst video game developers ever, and it's not only due to their bad quality games), etc. Too much contenders to list, all being bad in their own unique way. |

How about 52 bad games?
So while this is better than LEGO Star Wars II DS, I just couldn't stand it. 52 games in one NES Cart sounds cool. But it turns out just like Sonic 06, Boom, and LEGO SWII DS, it is unfinished. All of the games have glitches that make you think the developers didn't even test it. Sometimes the games are not bad, but just weird. Some just crash and you need an emulator to play it. And don't get my started on the Cheetamen! These guys were supposed to get action figures, cartoons, movies, and all of that crap. Just a plain rip off of the TMNT. The only thing good from Action 52 are a few graphics and the Cheetamen theme is the best NES song I have ever heard. Still it is a sad excuse for a game, let alone 52 of them. 5/10 Blarg! ____________________ Ugh, forget post layouts. |

Well, it's not that bad until you realize the price they offered for this raw sewage.
Isn't it like, 100 dollars? You may as well take 100 dollars and eat it, and you'll get a more satisfying experience than spending it on this game. |

Posted by Baby Luigi The game costs$199 back then. This was the price for a Video Game Console back in the 19s. That's like taking a rock you found on the ground and making it 9000 Dollars. Then again, it has 52 games but look it Mario Party. That game costs 4 Dollars. Yes it came right after Action 52, but it costs less. The game developers were trying to make as much money as they could with the NES Version. It went out as one the worst of all time. It is ironic that the story is of this game is way better than the game itself. :/ ____________________ Ugh, forget post layouts. |

Yoshi's Island DS upgraded its artstyle from "drawn in crayon" to "drawn in MS Paint" |

I'd say the worst game of all time is Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing, or Hong Kong '97, but those are the easy responses as they are widely known and basically anything worse would create controversy over whether it should even be called a game at that point. As for not so easy picks, i'd say the worst game I own is Sonic and the Secret Rings.
Secret Rings started as a port of Sonic 06 to the Wii (first red flag). Once the team saw the Wii's motion control, they decided to make the game focus on gimmicks to do basic things like move forward and turn. The end result is an uncontrollable on-rails mess that only a little kid who could find the fun in a paper clip and a piece of string would enjoy. To top it off, they included a Mario Party ripoff mode, which has a bunch of broken mini-games that use motion controls and are impossible to win as they don't work. 4/10 Bad Game. ____________________ Switch on latest firm happily playing Smash daily PC with an i7-4790K, RX480, 16GB ram Various other consoles that are hardly used due to emulation existing |

Posted by MarioFanatic64 Is there really anything wrong with having sprites drawn in MS Paint, because a lot of talented spriters use MS Paint? And I still don't think it's that bad in all honesty. In fact, I think it's better than the original in many ways. It might have some clashing art-styles but it's still overall decent. |

Saying "drawn in mspaint" is just a way of saying "badly drawn".
Older versions of mspaint are perfectly usable tools for pixel art stuff. (Though transparency support would be nice) |
