Yes, I think you should remove the trumpet, and then I'd like to hear how that sounds by itself. If you don't want to publish it you can PM it to me. I'll probably still have another idea for the synth but I can't know for sure until I hear the version without trumpet. ____________________

Hm, I don't like the synth that replaces it at 1:25. A couple things:
a) It comes in a bit late, which sounds weird and distracting b) It's rather inconsistent and weak. c) I just don't like the sound of it, it sounds like the sounds N64 Zelda games used for a singing voice. What I would recommend is replacing that synth with one that's almost like a legato single-string electric guitar. That's kinda a bad description but I really don't know how to describe it. However, I can provide this sample demonstrating what I'm talking about. A synth sounding like that (the mono synth that starts at 0:09) would be great as long as it's not too loud. Alternatively, make the entire thing like the echo-y synth that starts at exactly 1:51 in your piece (though quieter) and do something more to the bit at 1:51 to make it stand out a bit more. You *could* send me a version with no trumpet OR synth in that area, and I could see if I can do anything, but no guarantees. ____________________

I kinda think its very good.......but I think it doesn't fit a Mario game. Its not like I think it should be bright and cheery, but...just more of a battle feel, not a dramatic feel. Just my thought, I know you may think differently. ____________________ Jesus why was I here |

Newsflash, the music in SMG2.5 is mostly Mario-ish. Even Final Frontier, which is an epic Marioish song. I composed this to be dark and epic, building up to a climactic finale. Im not trying to be rude, but why do you want an upbeat final boss level theme? ____________________

However, this was approved by Glem and aside from Luigi#1 everyone else seems to like it for EotU so there's no point in changing it. And I've explained before why un-approving stuff is usually a bad idea. ____________________

OMFG THAT SOUNDS AMAZING. Adding it to the Approved list now 
Ok now with that done, I started thinking again about this galaxy having a silent part. I think on further consideration it would be better to have a surreal, spacey ambiance instead. And I'd like to work on this ambiance. An ambiance would be more interesting to listen to than silence, and I think silence would actually sound bad if we can't make the sound effects echo in the beyond-the-edge area. (Also less important but having this would make there be exactly 100 custom soundtracks in the game )
Thoughts? If for whatever reason you'd prefer silence, say why...since I can't really think of any advantages silence has ____________________

I'm neutral on having either silence or ambience. But ambience could also sound surreal so that would work fine.
