Music swapping could be useful if you are a YouTube and don't want to get a copyright strike ____________________ NNID: Mariomon100 3DS Friend Code: 0473-8619-3062 |

Posted by GreenThunder1337 Nintendo has been outing copyright strikes on music from there games. Anyway I wonder if citraloution would be able to work with DS games instead of using toms though I doubt it would ____________________ NNID: Mariomon100 3DS Friend Code: 0473-8619-3062 |

That's exactly what it does. (I'm assuming you mean 3DS btw) And it's mostly Youtube that's pulling copyright stufs. ____________________ NNID: GreenThunder1337 3DS FC: 1521 - 5979 - 1511 |

k then.
>with DS games instead of using [r]oms The 3DS, for some reason, isn't powerful enough to emulate DS ROMs. True, DS games run natively on the system, but that's not emulation. True, DS ROMs run with the aid of a flashcart, but again, not emulation (it's more like loading). Just sayin' tho, the 3DS Homebrew Loader can't load DS ROMs, but it may aid in a riivolution-like app specifically for those carts. ____________________ NNID: GreenThunder1337 3DS FC: 1521 - 5979 - 1511 |

It's Citrolution, not Citraloution.
It can't work on DS games. They run on the bare metal, directly interacting with I/O registers to read the ROM. There's nothing between the game and the hardware that you can work off of. The best you could do would be getting dirty and patching the game, and then you'd need to also embed the whole DLDI system somewhere for accessing the flashcard. It could work on the 3DS, because all ROM reads go through the FS service (you don't get to access I/O registers directly). Patching that service to redirect reads is the way to go. But even then, it's tricky-- you need to ensure the patches work on all the possible versions of the FS module. You need a way to inject the patches to begin with, which require a kernel exploit (or an exploit in the FS module and lotto-winner luck), and no kernel exploits have been published yet for firmwares 9.3 and up. Alternately, I guess this could work with Gateway without the need for a kernel exploit, but then that's like saying 'hello piracy' (and you're still limited to what Gateway supports). That'd be the tricky part. The rest (redirecting reads to somewhere else) would be a cakewalk-- I had a basic system going for that. ____________________ NSMBHD - Kafuka - Jul melonDS the most fruity DS emulator there is zafkflzdasd |

Australian = EU store, just so you know
I think Nintendo pulled Cubic Ninja from the eShop globally by the way. Not sure. ____________________ |
