Those may be handy in your 3DS game hacking quest.

Citra

Actively worked on, this emulator already runs several commercial games.

XDS

A more low-level emulator. WIP.

3dmoo (dead)

You can download the Latest Nightly Build, in which you don't have to put together yourself.

It's 64-bit though. :Y

@StapleButter

I dunno where I should ask this, but..

Anyway your snes emulator(blargSnes) is good, but it doesn't load Chrono Trigger for whatever reason. What's wrong and how do I fix it?

Chrono Trigger is too advanced (and large maybe?) for the emulator, and SB isn't working on it anymore.

Also, here's a compatibility list.

That list says Chrono Trigger works though...

Make sure you are using version 1.3.
Keep in mind that Chrono Trigger is still unstable, according to the list.

Oh, and is this thread for emulating 3DS Games, or emulating games on the 3DS?

It's for emulating games on the 3DS, and thanks.

3dmoo hasn't been worked on for a while. Citra is more advanced.

The 3dmoo guys are working on a version of it that runs the 3DS OS instead of HLEing it, though.

When I try to run the "Latest Night Build" from the official website I got an error message that "MSVCP140.dll" and "VCRUNTIME140.dll" are missing.

I downloaded it now 2 times and the problem still remains. Also note that I have Windows 10 and at the moment no ROM to use.

Can anyone help me?

You probably need to install some Visual C++ runtime.

Not sure though. This isn't the Citra support forum.

You're just missing some .dll files is all. Search for them here.

Also, Citra only works with 64-bit PCs at the moment.

ignore the post above, follow this instead: https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-msvcp140-dll-is-missing

why would anyone think that the best solution to a "crapolol.dll not found" message is downloading the individual DLL file from some shady site and sticking that into your system

I said what I did because the C++ installation never worked for me when I tried it.

And if you download them individually, you get only what you need, nothing you don't. No installation required, as you simply put it in the Citra root folder.

But that's just my preference, anyways.

Sorry StapleButter, but I didn't see your 2nd post so I did what GreenThunder1337 told me to do and it worked :D, but I'm sure your method would also be a good solution.

DLL-Files.com is a trusted Website, I used it many times before, and it worked each time.

No installation required

Maybe the installation is there for a reason. Like, if it relies on other DLLs, services, or needs some registry keys, or whatever.

dll-files may be trusted or whatever, but you still don't know when you're going to run into a bogus DLL.
