Yeah....

Anyways, my laptop broke today when I was turning it on. I got an error about memory problems. I called the technitions to see what could be done. They said nothing. The computer's error was a hardware problem and wasn't covered......how convenient. So yeah, all my projects in Rom-hacking and Fangaming have now been cancelled. Sorry.

Posting the actual error would probably have been a good idea...

Anyway, you could put the disk from the broken computer into another computer to get your stuff back.

1. I can't really now as my computer won't even turn on.
2. I can't turn the computer on.

I think he means hacking your computer apart and putting the hard drive in another computer.

I probably won't be doing that. I'm taking it to a BestBuy near my house towmorrow and see if they can fix it.

You don't need to turn on your laptop. Nina is saying that you should take the hard drive out and put it in another computer.

If you, or a friend have a desktop computer, here's how you could save your stuff:
1. Turn over your laptop and write down the model number
2. Google *model* disassembly
3. Find a disassembly tutorial, and follow it
4. Take out the hard drive. I wish I could be more specific, but I've never taken a HDD out of a laptop before :/
And now, you can put the laptop HDD (Hard Drive Disk) in the desktop computer.
1. Take off the computer case. You shouldn't need a screwdriver, as there will probably be thumbscrews.
2. Find the hard drive bay, and slide the laptop HDD in there
3. Plug in the sata-power and sata-data cables into the HDD like this.
4. Put the case back on
And then save your files :)
