It's technically possible that somebody can make a Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2 BDL editor, it's just that nobody has done it yet.
But I wonder who... |

Nobody is going to make it since there is no need for it, plus we already got an converter. Why would anyone spend their time making such tool while you just can convert it directly to bdl. thats why that idea of yours is just not possible without the required knowledge. |

Posted by jjesss064 Oh, my mistake xD It's a BDL plugin that will allow Blender to function as a BDL editor, as it will feature import and export functionality. Well, that's the goal, but not a lot has gotten done so far Also, obj2bdl has code to export bones. |

So wait a second, are you saying that all of this can just be simply converted between formats from BDL to another format? And when that's done, it can be converted BACK to BDL? I think this can go nicely. |

Nope. That was exactly what we did. You exported the BDL, as 3DS, and then I imported it, to SketchUp and edited it. And after that I exported it (as OBJ), and converted it to BDL. And it didn't work very well as you could see. |

*sighs* There must be something we did wrong.
The animation addresses were gone once we did this. It may be impossible to retain the animations, textures and everything during the process of editing the BDL model, if we don't have a BDL editor. |

Posted by Rainbow Mario sigh for the last 2 years I've had to say this Something being more difficult for newbies is NOT IMPOSSIBLE. GalaxyHacker you haven't even been here for a year. Not to be rude, but you really have no idea what you're talking about. ____________________ a |

Exactly. And this is beyond ludicrous that we need to reach so far over something that shouldn't be all that complex to begin with. |

I know what I'm talking about and I know that it isn't impossible. It's just so difficult so I have to say impossible to make people understand and don't try stuff that they would never succeed with. And nobody have so far got a better idea than export and destroy everything, import, edit, export and convert. Then copypaste the joint data. I know that nothing is impossible, but some stuff is really pain in the hell so it's worth to call it impossible.
Okay, I know another method. "Merge model" with BMDView. The hat should come in the center. I don't know if it's possible to move it. |

No you guys have absolutely no idea what you are talking about.
"The animation addresses were gone once we did this" <- this says much on how much you actually know from this. Also copypasting data is not going to solve the problem. Instead of expecting others to make tools for you, you should make your own tool to support the things you want. It just annoys me that you guys are sitting on your ass until someone gives you a magical plugin. |

We do that because we can't do that self. And yes we can sit down and wait for it because someone is actually working on it. |

"And yes we can sit down and wait for it because someone is actually working on it."
So in that case, it's only a matter of time before there's a someone that comes with such plugin? |

Posted by Rainbow Mario Ass bullshit. Everybody can learn to program. but with this attitude are will accomplish nothing but looking like a lazy ass. Posted by Rainbow Mario Seriously? You are going to trust on someone who says someone might be working on a plugin which MIGHT does the thing you want. even IF he will finish it who says he is going to give it to you? Again, do shit yourself, don't expect others to do it for you. |
