Hehe, I think this list is useful for everybody who wants to know what certain file formats do and what has to be documented.

MSBF controls the text switching. It uses 'Flow' to do that.

You forgot BCAM , it's a form of BCSV, same with BANMT. And yes, TXT is in SMG1.

Wouldn't it be more accurate to describe BTP as a texture cycle or something like that? It only swaps out the various textures in a model, it doesn't change the colour palettes. AFAIK SMG2 doesn't even use colour palettes.



Why does the spellchecker think "colour" is incorrect? It isn't, it's just Canadian.

could you also make a "documentation" row. which tells if it has been documented and if yes provides a link to the documentation. that would be useful. thnx

Agreed, and a column for tools to edit them, if any exist.

Sorry to bump, but you have forgot BRFNT files.

SMG seems also to use BLK and and BMT files.

BMT is used in Sunshine, too. It's used to make woodboxes and stuff not look horribly shaded.

No but they are in the lookup as hashed BCSV names, like .bdl, .btp, .bck and others are, so I guess that they're somewhere.

Yeah, strings from the DOL. From there I got the other file formats like BLK.
