I still like the name Drill Base better then Burrow Base, makes a bit more sense.
But anyways, this galaxy is the first appearence of the Spin Drill. |

Anyway, Burrow Base... "Post your design ideas here! Keep in mind this is both the first appearance of the drill and a boss level. Some ideas for this level were that Bowser Jr. Could be mining for power stars, and as such he's been drilling into tons of planets. This could be worked into the design, possibly drilling machines are found lying about. There should be lots of neat drill puzzles to play with as well. This is a 2 Star galaxy." -Glem3 There really haven't been many ideas for this galaxy. Hard to make it not just a revamped Spin-Dig. So, the boss is supposed to be an enlarged Digga-Leg on an enlarged hollow planet with enemies and lava, right? But...too easy. And it poses a lot of questions... ____________________ Burrow Base design- Text complete. I might try my hand at some art...maybe...eventually...? Bullet Base design- Final Frontier- (collab) There's always a light at the end of the tunnel. Of course, it's usually an oncoming express train. Slow and steady gets you trampled by the other guys. |

It would be cool if there was a digga-spawning machine on a planet. Mario'd have to ground pound it to break it, and when it breaks, a launch star would appear to take Mario to another planet ____________________

Yeah, but maybe there should be a secondary rock theme. Suddenly, a lot more ideas come to mind. Like a slope with lots of Diggas burrowing around, and lots of rocks coming down the slope.
Like an entire mining scene. Like Boulder Bowl, except the rock pillars replaced by dirt pillars and hills, and having a lot more layers. Or a 2D underground part, like in Spin-Dig, except there's more platforming and sideways moving. ____________________ Burrow Base design- Text complete. Let's make this galaxy decent-sized, what made Robot Reactor and Fiery Flotilla so....unsatisfactory was that they were so small and forgettable. However Airship Armada and Fearsome Fleet were MUCH better. |

Anyway, maybe we could have gem-like planets? Quartz, Ruby, Emerald, Sapphire, Lapis Lazuli, Opal, and such. ____________________

Just don't let the dirt theme be neglected.
So, maybe Mario has to find a drill spot to enter the underground mine, and a large 2D section with drilling down into a 2D mine with lots of crystal and metal and Diggas. Ideally, there should be quite a lot of sections, with sideways motion done by metal bouncing with the drill.
