It's a thing, yeah.

The directories are similar, and everything. They just copypasted the entire fuggin thing and called it a game with new levels and powerups...lol.

So you hacked your 3DS?
Also nice findings. I always thought that SM3DL uses a similar engine as SMG(2).
I wonder if there is some debug stuff or unused levels left.

Can you dump the 3d models tp an obj format? That would be difficult I guess. Eitherway nice job.

Rean told me they use a different file format called "BCMDL".

I've already exported models, easily ported to SMG2 with a lot of texture fixing.

Yeah exporting the models is fairly easy, I could dump some 3dland models if you need rean, ive got a dumped 3dland rom

Are you using smea's cgfx2obj script, the nosies importer, or something else? I usually use the cgfx2obj script

yep thats the one!, it screws up models sometimes so i'd just use the nosies plugin or whatever you've got going right now :p

There are scripts (like the one mentioned above) for model dumping and you can dump 3DS games with xor pads made with some 3DShomebrew running on firmware 4.5
