Is the chasm going to feature a bottomless pit? If not, then we should put in a hole in the chasm's floor to make it a bit like a "true" chasm. Pumpkin Goombas and Scuttle Bugs should invest the chasm. When I think of a chasm, I imagine it being filled with creepy creatures.

I was thinking about. I do not think we should use Boos. They are already in ghost galaxies. Octoombas, however, would work. Maybe you should have to defeat Octoombas in this galaxy to recieve 1-Ups.

Yes, Boos for later. But this galaxy should still have Octoombas and Scuttle Bugs, so that Yoshi can practice eating enemies.

Maybe we could get flipbugs, octoombas and smeeches, because that's what Yoshi started out with when he was on Yoshi Star Galaxy.

Yep. Most of the planet and chasm won't really be explored in detail, though, so the poly count shouldn't be too big of a problem.
There shouldn't be any planets floating in it. That'd spoil the Grand Canyon effect.
Like, the first part of my design (on page 1), set at the bottom, with the second half replaced by NSK's idea, set at the top. Possibly a bridging climbing section too.

Oh, and Star 2 will probably be crossing the chasm. I don't think there should be a boss here.
Using King Lakitu here...also in the first Yoshi galaxy? No.

Possibly, there could only be various Goombas at the very bottom, then Octoombas and Octoguys, then koopas..etc.

The Grand Canyon thing gives me an idea, there can be a bridge that goes across the chasm. Midway through the bridge, the bridge can either give way by itself or a comet can make the bridge give way. Dash yoshi can run across to avoid falling. The star could be at the end along with the toad brigade.


Alternate: There can be comets that damage the bridge and make it fragile and dash yoshi can run across it.

As for the background, I know it'd spoil the Grand Canyon effect but can we add comets shooting out of the chasm or comets shooting into it.

I actually like the idea of a broken bridge. If we can, we could import import the bridge from Pianta Village.

There is no SM3DL hacking yet. Sorry. If we cannot solely import the one Pianta Village, someone will have to make their own model. Mandibugs would go nice on a bridge.

Even if we did import the one from Pianta Village, it's still a block of polygons, it's not gonna move until we actually add an animation. I do like the idea of a bridge, the objective could be trying to escape the chasm, and once you're at the top you have to cross this.
