BCSV Reader

Main coding done by PhantomWings
Entry names and headers by MrRean

This is once again a duo project between me and PhantomWings. This program was a seperate branch for Anarchy v2.0, but since it was cut, the editor got cut too. But I liked the layout, so I asked him if I could finish the layout, and have it load the entry names and all sorts of things for it.

What can this do?
-Edit any form of BCSV (.pa, .banmt, .bcsv, .bcam, .tbl)
-Shift-JIS is functional
-New headers
-Entry names are different (Other than just "Entry 1, 2, 3...")
-Add, Remove, Duplicate, or Clear entries
-Descriptions for (some) entries and what they do
-Lists the values

Download

I'll be posting the source pretty soon.

By Antheness, I assume you mean making it look like Windows Shit 8?

Unless this can be used to edit bcsv's without extracting the .arc, it's just like the other two.

Wah! I still have to extract?? wah! wah! wah!

It would take much more coding to read the certain files.

You're misinterpreting, he's saying that there is literally no difference between this and the others. And I agree. He's not whining.

That said, I don't think this is a bad piece of software, I just think it's not too different from the others, like the NSMB series.

Well I tried to edit this to make it easier to understand on what everything is. Mostly because I wanted the field names changed from "Entry 1, 2, 3, 4" so you can instantly go to the object you want because you can see the field name for the object.

Fair enough, i'll give it a try sometime I guess.

But, MN1 is going to construct the BCSV editor while using PW's format to make his editor better, so his will probably outdo this one by a long shot. But for now, this one is the easier one to understand.

Of course, then I'd be duplicating the work that's already been done in Whitehole or WiiExplorer. It would be much nicer if all these tools were in one place.

Niiiice.

And then eventually, we can combine this all into Whitehole and make it the biggest editor for SMG.

I'm not sure if that was sarcasm, but it would actually be useful to have Whitehole be the unified SMG editor.

My only gripe about it is that nobody STILL has implemented adding fields. That would make it EASY to add zones.
