I tried for the first time to document a file (MSBF), but all I found was a header (hinting it had to do with flow ), two sections, and the names of the objects affected by the flow at the end. AB was used to pad, and the first section contained a jumbled mess of numbers (and some FFFF's) and the second section contained aligned numbers, most of them being the same. Help please? ____________________ Current hack: Excerpt from Super Mario 256 |

Other patterns that I noticed:
Offset 14, Size 2 = Size of whole file X=offset of FEN1 section (including 16-byte header) For each 8-byte section from offset X+16; Offset of that section+2, size 2 = total offset of related(?) string. Except the first one, which says 003B (What's that supposed to mean?) Offset X+6, Size 2 = Size of FEN1 section minus 16 Y=offset of FLW2 section (also including 16-byte header) Offset Y+6, Size 2 = Size of FLW2 section minus 16 The FLW2 section still looks like an alien. Also, what are the 01's scattered in the FEN1 section at offsets that are 1 less than a multiple of 8? ____________________ Current hack: Excerpt from Super Mario 256 |

Am I the ONLY one trying to document flow? This is VERY important. ____________________ Current hack: Excerpt from Super Mario 256 |

Posted by mibts If nobody responds, then it's safe to assume YES, you're alone on this for the moment. The rest of us don't care/have time/have motivation to do so. So at least stay on topic while you talk to yourself on a thread. I've had it on my todo list but I have many more important things to do before I get to this, if that makes you feel any better. ____________________ "I hate playing musical chats" ~ Quote of the month |

You should take a look at the LBL1 and the source code to msbconv. That should give you a good idea of what the FEN1 section is about. |
