I have played 1-3, and enjoyed them to death. 3 is my favorite by far, and with Platinum, you can create so much. Platinum only costs about 15 bucks anyways, so its a wonderful buy. This series deserves more attention and it really is something special.

The games basically allow you to create your own amusement park, add coasters, rides, paths, and edit your park in any way you can imagine.

This. People should stop making threads for every f**** game series they play even if it has nothing to do with Nintendo or SMG2.5 whatsoever. Threads for the most famous Nintendo series like Mario, Zelda, Kirby, Metroid, Pokemon, Kirby and SSB are okay, but these are pointless and should be deleted.


This is a general gaming subforum. I dont specifically see it should only be nintendo related :P
If you dont like the thread, dont post in it. Simple. There is no need to whine about this.
If we mods consider many threads like this are bad, we would have taken action.

I have heard about the RCT franchise being really fun to play. I have heard about all the funny things you do in the game. To bad I have never played any Roller Coaster Tycoon games. I may eventually consider buying one of the games. The game truly sound like a lot of fun.

Edit: I have also heard about the 3DS version being sub-par to the other game versions.

here is a review of the 3ds version. Tell you what? I'm working on an awesome park on Rct3 Platinum and ill post some screenies here. I have an erupting volcano coaster, a 400+ foot giga coaster, a city inverted coaster, and a HUGE can of worms water complex. Its pretty flippin' awesome, if you ask me :P

and gridatttack, yeah, 1 and 2 are classic :P I actually really like the retro graphics and SFX of those games. I also never really got into Zoo Tycoon.

Ninja'edit: HRE I would definitely recommend it. Platinum only costs about 15 bucks, and you get the original game plus the 2 expansion packs.

I dislike the fact that people don't die when crashed in RCT3. Even when the coaster is going 100 miles per hour in the air and lands into water. Derp.
