The Acerola Apparition is an anomaly present in severely personalized copies of Pokémon Moon. When traversing the long hallway leading to the Altar of the Moone, several players have reported on MIPS Lopunny Hole Wiki to have encountered a giant floating, disembodied head of trial captain Acerola appearing in the hallway and chasing the player through the now-endless hallway, viciously chomping as if it were to eat the player. If the Acerola Apparition catches up to the player, supposedly the game restarts and the player will lose all of their progress, including their Pokémon, and will have to start their adventure in Alola all over again, except they cannot choose the same avatar as before - the avatar the player controlled when the Acerola Apparition appeared, appears greyed-out in the menu. If the player manages to outrun the Acerola Apparition, which is often reported to be possible using Tauros Charge, the entity will presumably attempt to use all power from the 3DS system to enter the real world, but fail due to this instantly depleting the 3DS's battery. One user, going by the name of Blueio, has claimed the Acerola Apparition almost succeeded at manifesting in their house, because the 3DS was charging. They pulled out the plug, frightened. Players who have seen the Acerola Apparition often continue to suffer from seizures for months. Luckily I play Pokémon Sun, so I don't give a flying shit.
