Alright, first to start off, I apologise if any of this has been said already, I don't really visit here often. Also I have extremely basic knowledge in hacking, so this may not even be possible, but I hope it is. Anyways, with that said, let's get to the post.

There is a mostly little known game on the DS, it's called Mario Hoops 3 on 3. Besides being a pretty good game, it also has a ton of charachters:

What does this mean?

Well, with each character, there is a 3D model, and what I was thinking is that someone can import them into SM64DS, probably to use as a character like these hacks:

All you would probably have to do is fix the animations (some of which would probably still work with their 3 on 3 animations, like running, attacking, and jumping), and you've got a new character in 64DS!

Good luck, I really hope this works. We may soon be able to play as Black Mage, Birdo or maybe even Bowser Jr.!
