Instead of just discontinuing the project and throwing the source at the internet, I decided to create a SVN and put the code there, so that interested coders can contribute. http://code.google.com/p/sm64dse/ Though, there is no guarantee that you can use the code in the SVN to get a working build. Dirbaio, from the NSMB hacking scene, already joined us. If you feel like joining, show me a patch of yours, and if your code is good, I may add you. |

Could you do something to change the textures, music, load a level made ​​with Google SketchUp and even add new characters to handle them both to interact with them in Super Mario 64 DS? |

Third is already implemented. First may be implemented when the model importer is more developed. Second can be done with external utilities, and perhaps it will be implemented into SM64DSe someday. And fourth, y'know, ROM hacking isn't just matter of taking your magical wand and pronouncing some weird words et voila. Adding characters would require lots of complex ASM hacking, so there's no way I can make a button that does that in one click. |
