Playing this game as a kid made me felt amazing. I'm gonna try to beat it 100%

I love SSL's idea. We gotta use that.

I was thinking for you to save Luigi in this level like in SMG1. In SMG2, Luigi appeared in W3 after you collected a certain amount of stars, he had no backstory or anything, he just randomly appeared, he also wasn't a NPC on Starship Mario after you talked to him for the first time, I really hated that. In SMG1, you had to save him from the ghostly galaxy in W3/Kitchen. Luigi also did have a story saying he got separated from the toads when Bowser attacked. He was even a NPC in Comet Observatory! He even had his own stinkin' clone when you played as Luigi! So, I just really hope its possible to unlock the ability to play as Luigi (sometimes, like the original game, you unlock him fully once you beat the main adeventure.) through the main adventure after saving him in this galaxy. Also make him an NPC on the starship.

I also had dialogue, too. Meh, let's just combine them.

I was thinking at one point, there's a section in this galaxy where Mario lands near a black hole. The black hole either chases Mario or sucks everything in it. For Mario to stay alive, he finds a Rock Mushroom. Mario then uses it to turn into Rock Mario and roll away from the black hole quickly. Behind him as he rolls, the platforms break/fall or get sucked in. So theoretically, Mario cannot stop. Think of it as Star 2 of Melty Monster Galaxy from the original game. Mario will have to go on the ramps to stay in his bowling from. The falling/breaking platforms as you go will get smaller, making it harder to navigate. There will also be meteors falling near Mario, so you gotta navigate around that as well. And if possible, to make this look cool, switch the camera to it facing Mario and showing whats behind him. If it is hard to find/create a platform for this event in the level, we could just use those falling Dash Yoshi platforms from Hightail Falls Galaxy.

THANK YOU GLEM3. I said earlier that we should do all the galaxies in a certain order. (Doesn't exactly have to be chronologically.) Alright I'm gonna see what I can do with Comet Chasm right now.

I got an idea for this galaxy. So basically, Mario lands in a dry area with dead grass and such. Then, he sees a yoshi egg trapped in a barrier from a Latiku in a mud/tar pit. Once you free Yoshi for the first time, he says, "Woah-ho! Hey Mario, I just came here to see my ancestors' tribe, but then got trapped in that egg by Bowser's baddies. Say, let's team up and find out what's going on!" So you walk across a dead-dirty field seeing dinosaur bones and enemies, etc. You then wonder, "Has this place been alive before?" You then see a tiny village with Yoshi NPCs and green-alive grass. (The other yoshis will be different colored from green, so we know which yoshi is ours.) You see a different color yoshi in front of the village and he says, "Hey! Wanna hear the history of this land?" You pick 'Sure!' or 'Gotta go...' If you pick sure, he says: "Centuries ago, many dinosaur species lived here, including us. One day, one species of dinosaurs got mad at another, and they fought, soon all the other species got involved. We were neutral, and wanted to end their feuds, but they didn't listen. Soon, a huge comet appeared and wiped out most of this land. It created a huge chasm, and made most of this land dead and dry. Us Yoshis were probably unaffected because of our kindness and respect for one another. This is most likely why the piece of land around our village is alive and filled with yummy fruit!" Besides the backstory, there is another problem at hand. As Yoshi said, Bowser's baddies are there. Some other Yoshis tell you that they have been invaded by the baddies, and they have no choice but to fight back. Some of them are terrified and say they don't want a comet to take them out as well. Which is why, Mario and Yoshi must save the day!

Alright I personally think this conecept/micro-design would be very accurate for this galaxy. Let me add some more to it. After strolling along in the village, Mario and Yoshi find the Elder Yoshi NPC. He says, "We've been having problems with things in the chasm. Sometimes at night, I see enemies climb out of it. Please go ahead and figure this out!" Then you find the Launch Fruit. Yoshi pulls off the fruit and eats it, thus, turning into a launch star. You blast off in the launch star and land on another planet. On this planet, you see a huge canyon/gap which is the chasm created by the comet. You follow a path that leads you down into the abyss, finding some enemies there as well. You use Yoshi's skills such as Flower Grappling to find your way through the abyss of the chasm. You then find the core of it all. (Not exactly sure about this part, I need feedback's help.) An oversized Magikoopa with some other ones near it. Behind them, the Star trapped inside a shield/barrier that requires the obliteration of the Magikoopas. Here's the gimmick that requires Yoshi. Each Magikoopa is high upon tall rocks. Mario cannot reach them on his own. After the Magikoopas throw a fireball and/or goomba, they move around. Their path is only among the tall rocks. But, there are grappling flowers near the rocks to help you get up to reach them. Once you defeat them all, the Star's shield goes away, and it is yours.

W1 Shouldn't have plains in it. IMO, World 1 should be called: Galactic Path, Astral Path, or Universal Path (cuz at the end of the path, it's the Edge of the Universe :3). And the word "path" makes me think the whole way to a destination. So it really fits IMO.

gc is right. I'll pair up with someone to make a visual design based off of my written design. Then we can model, import, and create this galaxy.
EDIT: That was the rough draft, according to new system, I will have to edit it with more detail and post it soon.

In my boss concept, I had the idea to fight Bugaboom in a HUGE jungle-forest area. So instead of being on planet, you are in a deep jungle-like forest, and Bugaboom is swerving high above the trees. You have to find a Bee Mushroom (If you don't already have one), in order to reach his height. There will be some vines to swing on to help, but also some Choppas that must be advoided to pursue Bugaboom. If you get hit, you most likely won't die, but fall all the way to the ground. There will also be a small river that isn't deep, so if Bee Mario runs out of fly energy, he will fall to the ground and might lose the Bee power if he lands in water. This isn't supposed to make the battle harder, but longer.

That doesn't really matter, there will be NEW effective hazards. :3

Choppas among the vines, and a river surrounding the bottom part (don't fall).

Alrighty, I am one of the designers, I have completed a rough draft of my Comet Chasm design (It's posted on the CC design thread). I will edit it soon by the feedback from the leaders, and it will be completed ready to go. My next upcoming projects will be: Buzzing By, Lunar Lagoon, and then Dry Boneyard. These could possibly change depending on my choices and responsibilities. And great thanks to Cosmo for making this new system. I personally think it will help us greatly in the completion of this project.

I was thinking at the beginning, to have Mario go across a old-creppy bridge and on the bridge are those bone enemies that eat the ground. (Matter Eaters or something? I completely forgot.) but have ALOT of those guys and make the bridge really long. And also put some Dry Bones and Boos around there as well. At the end of the bridge, is dead-looking plain with Dry Bones Tower or Dry Bones Castle on a graveyard hill. The interior of the Tower/Castle will have many ghostly puzzles, consisting of Dry Bones, Boos, and Bomboos. Maybe throw in the Boo Mushroom as well. After all that, then comes Big Dry Bones, the boss.
