Hmm, conveyors everywhere at various angles might actually be a good thing to flesh out the scenery, along with tons of Ledge Hammers.
(I don't remember conveyors being in SMG...where? Or was it created?)

Rhomps, maybe (like the Hammers) but I don't think conveyors work like that.

That'd be cool, but it'd probably require duplicating and modelling, since the Dry Bones in SMG aren't upright.
The boss'd probably only be some black, slightly enlarged Dry Bones spawning tons of others, since switches to determine number of hits are impossible/complicated, I've heard. Not sure though.

The only easy way seems to be several large Dry Bones moving around the top of the tower, spawning tons of Dry Bones down the stairs to slow down Mario, who has to bunch the large ones all together to kill them quickly.

Nice.
I finished my exams a few weeks ago, but the teachers hand out the exams pretty much whenever they finish grading the papers/remember to bring the papers to class/feel like it. :P Received the last one yesterday.
I did...pretty well. Nearly top English grades, great maths results, and generally good scores except the 3 Chinese papers. o_O
Barely passed those. Chinese was always my weak subject...

Yay, 1 and a half weeks to go...

That's okay, I suppose.
Only the first part is kinda weird, with the "size power". Perhaps just "strange power"?
The Starshroom planet is quite interesting. I suppose the interior could be modelled.
Just a few things, maybe there should be lots of Wigglers in the grass (small). :P
So normal Mario'll fall off the branch/can't walk on it? Nice.
Overall, the design's actually pretty good. Finish up the art, and let's see if glem likes it too. :D

Well, perhaps halway through the level, the difficulty will suddenly amp up, with tree barriers, Sentry Beams, and tons of enemies, explained by the Gearmos being bored, then forgetting to deactivate the defenses when they saw Mario? :P

I really like the scenery you're suggesting.

If we're going for an underground labyrinth as part of the level, we could actually recreate something like the picture above with gravity. Mind-screw.
Perhaps a wide open room with absolutely nothing in it, just to make players paranoid. :3
Or an endless loop of staircases and corridors (but with a landmark to make it obvious it's looping).
Much as an evil labyrinth would be amusing, we can't make it TOO hard to navigate.
Traps would provide the difficulty.

There's no real need to ask about every single enemy placement, it's the shape/plan of the planets that's most important.

I still like both, but I really don't think they fit here. The first one has a few nice melodies, but the cymbals and the climax are way too loud IMO.
The second would be great for a level like Slimy Springs Galaxy... I actually like it a lot, but it doesn't really fit here. :(

Granted, but it's HUGE, and cuts every building you enter in half. And sets the ruins on fire. Oh, and it fires laser beams everywhere creating a 50 mile radius of destruction too.

I wish for the ability to model in 3D. :3

It'd be awesome if the Dry Bones could look like in the earlier games, but it'd probably be really hard...right?
I've heard it needs a totally new set of animations and stuff, but I'm not sure.

Well, there was that area of Puzzle Plank where a Launch Star was high off the ground, requiring pillars to be pounded on the other side to make them move up.
Maybe an "unstable ground" section with tons of those kind of columns?

The hexagram map is awesome, but too bad the paths won't work for the galaxy in Flip-Swap's position and Super Mario Galaxy in the middle.

That looks amazing!
So each "portal" will lead to a different section of puzzles, right?
It would be quite interesting to have a labyrinth made up of tons of different material (hand-drawn/crumbling stone/marble/metal etc.)
with general insane gravity, but a completely hand-drawn galaxy would also be nice.

Thing is, the whole point of an elaborate map like I suggested is to look nice. :P
I heard the world map uses coordinates like any galaxy...I wonder if it'd be possible to make some paths on "layer 2" so the line shows but is inaccessible (probably a stupid idea).
Anyway, maybe the outer hexagon could be removed then...?

Yeah, the undertones generally don't seem very...they just don't mix very well with the melodies...
