Well, I guess that may not have been the best idea then. We might need to find an alternative solution of what can be done into looking through this. |

It's technically possible that somebody can make a Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2 BDL editor, it's just that nobody has done it yet.
But I wonder who... |

So wait a second, are you saying that all of this can just be simply converted between formats from BDL to another format? And when that's done, it can be converted BACK to BDL? I think this can go nicely. |

*sighs* There must be something we did wrong.
The animation addresses were gone once we did this. It may be impossible to retain the animations, textures and everything during the process of editing the BDL model, if we don't have a BDL editor. |

Exactly. And this is beyond ludicrous that we need to reach so far over something that shouldn't be all that complex to begin with. |

"And yes we can sit down and wait for it because someone is actually working on it."
So in that case, it's only a matter of time before there's a someone that comes with such plugin? |

So in this case, we have to do it ourselves?
Never did anything like that before...x.x |

They had to have years of experience. Not like they would able to do it overnight.
So you're saying that it's impossible, but yet, nobody does anything to make it possible? This is something we need to work on. We'll have no choice but to persevere. We may need to take the hard way and learn about the joints and such on Blender. |

The only reason why it's "impossible," is because nobody is willing to take the time and effort to MAKE IT possible. No wonder we can't get it.
If splitwirez announced that there's actually a plugin currently in development, we'll go with that and wait until such tool is made and released. And since it can import vertices, then it should be able to import the bones and animations as well with no problem, if that's the case. Therefore, it'll be possible to have Yoshi be controlled the same way, with the hat added on. Arguing isn't the best idea to go, and won't get us anywhere. |

It shouldn't take months or years for that to be made, would it? |

Well, time for an update. My friend has discovered an issue for us to see. And he is someone who knows of programs regarding 3D model design.
The feather that Galaxy-Hacker had, HAS TRIS. 3D Models for games can't be triangular. It always needs to be squares. We would have to use SQUARES to make triangles, and that's something we'd have to do. In this matter, we'll have to trick the program by making triangles out of squares, by using the square tools. The Yoshi Model itself is fine, but the feather on the hat isn't optimized. We'll have to re-do that. It can NEVER have triangle faces, which is probably what causes the whole model to stay in that T formation pose. The vertices are probably still there, it's just that we can't have the models as TRIANGLES. That's what made those shadows to flicker all over the place as well during gameplay. If we manage to re-do the feather by using squares and that still doesn't work, then it will be best to wait until a program where vertices can be imported is released. |

Why wait, when we can actually fix the feather? It's triangular, when it shouldn't be.
The friend that told me this said that the vertices should still be there, it's that the feather needs to be redone. |

So if that's the case, then we need to re-do the entire thing, but with the tool involved that's currently in development. |

I just hope whoever's doing the plugin can get released soon. Not saying it needs to be rushed. |

Well, I don't even have the feather from SM64DS. But if you insist, I can try that. But....where to get obj2bdl? |
