it seems that it happens with every second simile on the same line
just tested it on blargboard and blargboard plus, no issue there. And tested it on Acmlmboard 2.53 on Kafuka, no issue there either.

Yep. If we are at all to start on a path to solving this huge climate change issue, the media has to act. We are all heavily influenced by the media, and just the media pointing this out to everybody will make the problem seem much worse (media glorification) and people might actually start to take it up responsibly. Of course, it is on the media already, but not to the same degree, and definitely should be focused on more.
