I think it actually looks really hot.
Here in Japan, it seems to launch at the 13 July 2017 for 14980 Yen, which is not that bad, although it does feel like yet another attempt from Nintendo to go after your money. |

Well, until recently, the same held true for SNS services.
Only Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and maybe Google+ could stand a chance, and they're all cooperate SNS services. However, now we have an entirely open-source, community-driven SNS service called "Mastodon", and it's already gaining loads of users every day, especially users from Japan, France, and USA. Stats: https://dashboards.mnm.social/dashboard/db/mastodon-network-overview?refresh=1h&orgId=1 Source code: https://github.com/tootsuite/mastodon So the point of me mentioning all of that, Mastodon is proof that you don't need to be a cooperate powerhouse, in order to compete in a certain market. So, let's make open-source great again! |

Or use GIMP.
It's free, and it works on all OSs. |

Also, I think it's safe to say that RH Cafe is no more... |

Well, unlike RH Cafe, RVLution never constantly rotated between HTTP 200, 500, 403, and 404, before it died completely. |

Posted by StarTrekVoyager All I know, is that Shiboleet switched from Apache to Nginx as its webserver, and shit got extremely unstable since then. But whether that's the actual reason RH Cafe quit or not, I don't know, since it would still be possible to make a backup of everything, re-install the server, and you're back in business...if done right. |

Read the whole thread, every single page reveals shocking facts about Windows 10, and sometimes Windows in general.
But I seriously never understood why Windows needs to reboot for most updates to get installed, which can often take between a few minutes to 2 hours, depending on what it updates... I'm using Manjaro Linux here, which is based off Arch Linux (I can even convert myself to Arch Linux whenever I please to, without re-installing the OS), and updates are almost always installed on the fly, even the Kernel gets patched while I'm working, and no reboot is required for that (although the patches will be applied after rebooting, but there's still nothing and nobody telling me to do so). Not to mention that I can customise every nanometre of my MATE desktop, so it looks nowhere like the other PC with the same OS and DE. It's the freedom what makes PCs great.....and both Microsoft and Apple never understood that... |

I'm getting mine mailed to me somewhere next week, from a well befriended game developer. |

It was funny to see how you tell somebody to not make a one-word post in one thread, and make a one-word post yourself in the other, only 3 minutes afterwards. |

Posted by shibboleet See PM for more detail. Posted by shibboleet That's nice! I use Manjaro myself, so I don't need to do any OS upgrades at all, but Mint is a nice distro for starters. |

Yep.
Except it's a developer unit, so it won't run any retail 3DS cartridges, however. |

Posted by salty Not everyone, we Linux users won't be affected by that, unless the attackers will care. But they won't, because there aren't enough Linux users to make them profit, and unlike most Windows users, most Linux users know their ways around Ransomware. Not to mention that the Linux community is really quick, things will get patched, even before the worm will spread, probably. |

Windows XP is long dead, and won't get any updates anymore.
However, since lots of governments worldwide are still stuck with Windows XP, and this Ransomware is so dangerous, Microsoft made an exception. |

Posted by RanAS Because Debian isn't really a beginner-friendly distro. Try Linux Mint instead, it runs all Debian can run, and it's much more out-of-the-box. Also, still be careful with the Windows 7 updates, because some of the updates will limit Windows Update, so it becomes the same as the one in Windows 10, meaning you can't decide when to install updates anymore, and you can't choose which ones you want to install anymore. |

Posted by Swingball I grew up using Linux myself, so I can explain. Linux is a free (both as in freedom, and as in beer) operating system, maintained by hobbyists, enthusiasts, hackers, etc., instead of a single company. Unlike Windows or macOS, there is no 1 version for all, Linux comes in thousands of varieties, each with their own philosophy. For example, beginners often chose Ubuntu from South Africa or Linux Mint from Ireland, while more experienced users go with Arch Linux from Canada or Gentoo from the USA. Love privacy? Try Tails from Ireland. Need hacking tools (security, etc.)? Try Kali Linux from Switzerland. Need to fix a computer? KNOPPIX from Germany. Running a company, and need premium support? Red Hat Enterprise Linux from the USA. Want something that's easy to use for you as a Windows user and a Mac user? Deepin from China. And personally, I'm using Manjaro from Austria, France, and Germany, because it offers all I want and need, plus it's a rolling release distro, meaning I'll have the latest software forever, without the need to perform an OS upgrade. Plus Manjaros repositories lack behind on Arch Linux', meaning I don't have the latest of the latest software, but at least it got properly tested. Linux by itself comes with lots of good stuff lacking in the other 2 OSs, software repositories being among them. You can install any app you want, without the need to find it with your web browser first, and without worrying it'll install bloatware along the way. Linux also has lots of different Desktop Environments (or the way your system looks and feels) to choose from, mine is MATE, because it allows me to customise every square nanometre of it, plus I loved Gnome 2 a decade ago, and I still do. Plus, lots of features introduced into Windows already existed in Linux for way longer, plus they work much better on Linux. Virtual Desktops is a notable example. In Linux, I can't live without it, while in Windows 10, I really hate using it. It's because Linux distros make it obvious it exists, and really clean up your interface. Meanwhile, on Windows 10, this feature is well hidden, so well hidden, you often forget you've got something open on another desktop at all. |

Wow, just, wow...
An idiot who can't accept the fact he got IP-range banned from DSHack.org for spamming and constantly creating reregs just created a fake account impersonating me, and started to insult and/or spam other people with that... If you ever see an "MKGirlism" with a spammy or insulting comment, it's not me. I never insult anyone, not even when somebody else insults me. Also, I never spam on videos. |
