That must have been a fake dream. Everyone knows RemixOS doesn't boot on half the devices you try it on!

RemixOS did boot up for me, but it prevented me from booting up Windows 10 back then.
But due to the lack of GApps, RemixOS was unusable, anyway.

The funny thing about the Windows Store and Mac App Store is, they're both attempts to copy the Software Repository system Linux already had for decades, and yet they fail to get the main point of having such a system.

On Linux, you use such a system to quickly install an app and its dependencies, without the need to use a web browser first, and it updates everything.
On Windows and macOS, it basically does the same thing, but with lots of additional bloat, lots of trial/paid apps, and without all of the system stuff (kernel updates, driver updates, etc.).

Yeah, I think the only real way to match the convenience of Linux package managers would be via a command line utility or a simplistic GUI for each action (Install package, update everything, etc.). And, the latter wouldn't work for what seems to be their new(?) target demographic, people that have to have their hand held when using it and just want it to work, like what Apple goes for with iOS. And even with the GUI, it still wouldn't be as useful since, like you said, Windows Store just doesn't cover nearly as large of a scope of software in terms of system related things.

I can't say I'm too upset, though, since the more Microsoft makes it's OS less appealing to the programmer / tech savvy type of person, the more attention goes to making programs cross platform.

Cross platform between Windows 10, Windows 10 Mobile, Windows 10 IoT, Windows 10 HoloGlass, and Xbox One, you mean?

Also, even though you didn't mention it, don't bother saying that Microsoft aims at having a single GUI for a single purpose, Windows 10 has System Settings, and Control Panel.
As the end user, you'll probably only need the System Settings, but if you're a heavy PC user, you'll need both.

I love Yoshi, just not in a 3D Mario platformer.
They've added it to Galaxy 2, and it felt completely out of place...

YouTube got another redesign and surprise, it looks even worse than before

Screenshot?
Because I still see the current design.

Coming soon: Ads injected into Win32 Apps, without letting the developers know...
Every next step Microsoft is taking is a concerning one, by the looks of it.

Well Staple, I know it's not related to this thread, but WikiLeaks has revealed Vault7 to the public last night, which is probably the most shocking leak I've ever seen, so far.

Thanks a lot Obama, for allowing the CIA to hack everything possible...

The point isn't that Obama was working at the CIA, the point is that Obama allowed this to happen at all.

I tend to use VerExif all the time, for this very reason.
It's nice to see you've added that to the Uploader, even though I never make photos with my phone camera.

Good thing we don't observe DST at all, in Japan.

Not everywhere in Canada, places such as Vancouver have very little snow. I live in Québec tho, and there was a snowstorm this morning.

Posted by SuperML
I live in Quebec, too! We must've got hit by the same storm.

Posted by Degolegodyl
Here in toronto it was pretty bad, and it was the same storm.

They were removed, because they don't work on mobile.
So according to Google logic, it's better to remove a useful feature, than to make it compatible with a platform it doesn't support...

Also Yami, ultimate fail, since in France, it was only March 29th at 9PM when you posted :P

And in Japan, it already was the 30th (now the 31st), so it's not a fail, it's a time difference.
Besides, the Forum showed me it was his birthday at that time, so I went for it.

I just noticed that we didn't do anything here for April Fools. :(

I've hard-coded everybody's avatars to this smiley for that day at DSHack.org: :D
Meanwhile, NSMBHD showed some kind of clown for a split second on every page load.

But indeed, nothing here...
