I've found some site yesterday (today for most of you), which redirected me to a "No AdBlock allowed" page, which re-redirected me to a God bleeding long page listing reasons to not block ads.
I turned AdBlock off, but I've left Ghostery turned on, and it still did the same trick... But I was curious, so I opened it in a Guest Chromium account, just to see how ad heavy that site is, atop of using a shit ton of hipster scripts... Overloading you with ads and hipster scripts, and even complaining about you blocking them, I'll never visit that site again! The site contains illegal content (it's a Hackintosh-related site), I would have linked it here otherwise. |

I never liked Javascript to begin with, the code is really hard to read, and code you made yourself often doesn't work, even though it's all correct.
I personally oppose the use of Javascript, unless explicitly required (like when making a chat web app, for example). |

Learn programming by doing so.
It's really the only real way! |

Not literally that, but you're still allowed to take sample code, take them into pieces, and see what they do.
That's how I learnt PHP, as well as C, C++, C#, Java (ew...), etc. I also learnt a lot by Google-ing up every time I've got stuck. |

So 2 days ago, I had to record a few Wii U videos.
I wanted to record both, the TV and GamePad screens, so I would need 2 Elgato Game Capture HD Pro 60 devices, and therefore, 2 PCs running Windows 10. I already have my old tablet running it, and I was planning to sell my old iMac (2009 model) anyway, so I decided to install Windows 10 on it for a weekend. Done, running, good. After recording all these videos, I turned it off. The next day, I realised I forgot to record 3 more videos, so I turned on my iMac again. Guess what? It didn't get passed the boot screen anymore! Once done loading, I heard the computer shut itself down, and turned itself on again. Then it happened again, and again, and then the automatic repair function started, which solved nothing. So I ended up re-installing Windows 10 from the ground up, just to record 3 fucking videos... It might seem all funny to me, but in reality, it's actually highly concerning. While I installed Windows 10 on a 2009 machine on purpose, and I only did it for a single thing, there are way more people with old computers to whom Microsoft tries to push the OS to likewise old machines, without their knowledge, and the PCs most likely are already filled with personal data. I can therefore understand it's totally not funny for those people at all. For your information, yes, I know Elgato runs on macOS as well, but I was running Linux before I've put Windows 10 on it. I would have used macOS for this job otherwise... |

Try again.
HANS, as well as the Homebrew Launcher, often get stuck at a certain point during the boot process, it most likely gets resolved if you simply try again. |

Posted by Starslayer The second question is, did you use the old RomFS-Builder, or my MakeROMFS or MakeROMFS-GUI (which is much more accurate and way faster)? |

In my own opinion, Windows 7 is the only good Windows version.
Windows 10 did add a few good things, the best being copy/paste shortcuts in the CMD, the multiple desktops they finally got (Linux got it decades ago already!), and the Linux Subsystem (which oddly enough is still in Beta after over a year now). Sadly, those are also the only good things Windows 10 has, what Windows 7 doesn't have. |

Admitted, Canadian Maple Syrup is really good.
I had the chance to try it once, and eventually got addicted to it, until the bottle was all empty. |

Shibboleet, I don't think children these days will ever get to learn C++ anymore, seeing how Microsoft keeps pushing C#, Apple keeps pushing Swift, and everyone else keeps pushing Java, nowadays... |

Eh, GTK3 isn't as radically different from GTK2, I've switched between the 2 quite easily.
And there's also a C# version of GTK, its compiler will still output .exe files, but you won't be able to run them on Windows, they'll be Linux-only instead, I think. |

I'm usually no fan of flat design, but this actually looks quite elegant. |

Yet another example on why the Mainstream Media sucks.
This time, they're ignoring the fact that Trump has cut the US debt by 12 billion USD in his first month in office. |

I'm no mobile gamer, and I'm highly certain that Super Mario Run is not 100% worth the price.
Why? Because I bought the full game, and I beat it in a single hour, only to end up being disappointed. If you want to collect all the black coins, then go ahead, it's really the only real challenge this game has to offer... |

Posted by MC708 It happened to me once, when I attempted to install RemixOS on my tablet, without properly reading the instructions first. But luckily, nothing was lost, all it took was to remove RemixOS installation. |

I never get homework, unless we're nearing a deadline, and there's still a lot to do.
But it's nothing educational, however. |
