When you use a port other than 80 or 443, you must specify it in the URL.
For example: On port 80, you can just do: http://www.something.tld/file.png On port 443, you can do this: https://www.something.tld/file.png On any other port, for example, port 7777: http://www.somthing.tld:7777/file.png |

Well, you actually aren't as distant regarding ports as you might think.
See it like this: IP Address is your home address, and the Port is one of your houses' doors, basically. If the door is locked, you will be unable to get in, but if the door is open, you're allowed entry. Naturally, you can't have 1 door that gives you access to multiple rooms at the same time. In general, this is a small list of ports that are normally reserved: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_TCP_and_UDP_port_numbers |

Switch: Great.
Zelda: We already knew a lot about it, but still great. Mario: Really great, but what the hell does "Odyssey" even mean?! Mario Kart: This proves that Nintendo either doesn't give a shit about Mario Kart anymore, or they've got so lazy, they couldn't get anything new anymore... Skyrim: I'll give it a try, I have it for Xbox 360, but never got around to play it. Taiko: Definitely going to take it again. Xenoverse 2: Although I have it on the PS4 already, I'll get the Switch version as well. Anything else: Either "WTF", or "Meh". |

It makes me wonder, actually:
We all know how much space MK8 took on a Wii U, right? The Switch doesn't support HDDs, but instead, relies on Micro SD cards of up to 32 GB (the fuck Nintendo?! There are even 256 GB ones around, nowadays!), and seeing how MK8D is MK8 + DLC + some extra content, how would they even fit it on that Micro SD card? The only thing I can think of, is shittons of compression, but I don't think you can consider that enough... |

Posted by gridatttack https://www.nintendo.co.jp/hardware/switch/specs/index.html#1 The piece of text that talks about Micro SD cards is in an image, so I can't quote that. But basically: "※ To use a Micro SDXC memory card, a system update over the internet is required". Additionally, I've seen a bit more interesting stuff on the same page, that I can't remember anyone reporting about:
Instant screen recording. If you press the capture button on the "Joy-Con (L)", you'll be able to snap a screenshot of the game you're playing. ※ After an update, video capture functionality has been planned. ※ There might be scenes you won't be able to take a screenshot of.
While playing in TV Mode, you can use a LAN Adapter that's being sold separately, so wired LAN connection is also possible. |

I've never heard of SMSManager before, but Wine sucks, anyway.
Try running it via Mono instead? Sometimes, stuff that doesn't work with Wine works fine with Mono, and vice versa. |

And how could I not see this one coming?

Maybe if you could share the output you get through the Terminal?
Like: mono SMSManager.exe
Or however the .exe file is called like.
As soon as it crashes, it should give you some output, so you can see what caused the crash. |

So, it crashes, and there's no output?
There should be... Mind to share the download link to SMSManager? I can't find it anywhere on Google, as if it wouldn't even exist. |

Posted by FinalShroom81 So, is that from scratch, or using Unity? Can't be both... I use Unity myself, my last time I used it was here: Unity allows you to create any game very easily for any platform, that's why I love this engine so much. However, I've lately become more interested to learn to make games from scratch (so C++, and either OpenGL or SFML, although Vulkan looks promising). |

It runs fine with Mono for me, but I can't do anything, because of the backslashes in the paths.
Wine gave me the same results, except that it doesn't use my system theme. Also, in both cases, it can't find "libgluezilla". |

The best approach is to have a piece of paper, a pencil, an eraser, and a brain at first.
Draw out your concept in a simple manner (it doesn't need to be a detailed one, as long as it's obvious what you want to reach). Once done, start making your levels in the actual thing, test them properly, and if something doesn't work as well as planned, change it a bit. That's all, basically. |

In reality, the only reason so many people 'hate' Trump, and 'love' Hillary, is because of the bullshit the Mainstream Media kept pushing about both of those.
Like, hiding facts, telling what never happened, all of them being pro-Clinton and anti-Trump, just for their own interests, and of those of bankers and politicians, and using "Russia" to scare you off. I even met lots of Trump haters this weekend, and when I asked them why they hate him, they said mostly stuff Trump never even said... Edit: In other news, Discord finally added a Linux download link to their homepage: |

At the very least, it's good to see that Trump actually keeps his promises.
Any actual politician makes promises just to win elections, and then immediately discards them once elected. |
