NSMBW hacking has always overshadowed almost every other platformer hack with its childishly user-friendly level editor that runs natively on practically any OS and can easily be wielded by a seven year old kid. My point is that it is so easy to use that there is a large excess of NSMBW custom levels, so many that there is the NSMBW File Depot so the creators can just give them away. With the release of Whitehole, more and more levels will eventually become available. Many already have, like on the Playtesting board of the old forum. I think that maybe, we could start up a "SMG2 File Depot", starting with already-made lavels from the playtesting board. I'm not saying post Exclusive downloads, just the ones we arent using, like Cloudy Heights (with the permission of the original level creators). Than again, what we do with our levels is up to the staff.

I know what you're thinking. "This Stygmax guy is a noob. SMG2 hacking isn't nearly popular enough to warrant a file depot." And you're right. But I think this will increase the overall popularity of SMG2 hacking, Kuribo64, and even SMG2.5 as more people realize what can be done with Whitehole. That's how NSMBW hacking took off.

This is just a suggestion, and any opinions are welcomed.

So there will be a file depot? MrRean already agreed to help with the setup, if yes.

Ok. Me and MrRean are willing to set it up if you have other things to do. :)

Oh. For some reason on the IRC I thought you said you were gonna help make it. Oh well, it doesn't really matter now. :P

Ok, let's leave this until after the move is done with. It'll be even better if we can get some galaxies done first so we have something to actually post in the depot. But I don't want us to get sidetracked with extra levels we don't need and won't use.

(I didn't mean share our completed levels with the public)

Probably your graphics card. Go to Whitehole settings and disable shaders. See if that works.

I think I know what might be happening. I recently tried to open Whitehole with my ISO and it wouldn't open when I pressed the "Open Galaxy" button. I think it has to do with the new Java RE7 u10 update.

IKR, the Maya never predicted the end of the world. The thought it would last for octillions of years (literally). This says more about our culture and film propaganda than it does the Maya.

I know this because this guy is my father. :P

Good luck with the layout! Will it use the Kuribo64 themes n' such, or will it be more like the NSMBW File Depot?

Well, our calendar ends on December 31, right? Their calendar did end, but it just started again like ours does on January 1. Happy 14 Ba'ktun!

If the Mayans could predict the future, they would still be alive.

What I said wasn't.

Alrighty, so NWP and Pølari are designing different layouts? In that case, we should hold on until that's finished. There's no point in collaborating over something that's already being done.

So how does one place the Red Star in a level?

The first planet looks kinda small, and even assuming there will be obstacles there can't really be many that would threaten a lily pad. Unless I'm drastically underestimating the scale.

Most previous ghost galaxies have focused on haunted mansions and the like, but I like the idea of this being a smaller galaxy with more densely-packed formations and more going on on each planet. Maybe we could have those unused pig-balloon things for creepy effect, like floating around the planet.
