Guess I'll point this out: Luma3DS version 7.0 has built-in file redirection, might be worth checking out.

Considering how limited Apple's OSs are, I wouldn't really be surprised. If you're someone that is using Linux, you're probably smart enough to pretty much be your own antivirus. And with both of these, it's probably more efficient for the people that make viruses / whatever with malicious intent to target Windows anyways, because it's what the majority of people use.

Posted by TheRetroGamer02My guess is that it would take a lot of resources and time to make it, and they gave priority to original games like NSMB, or remakes of older (I don't think Luigi's Mansion was released all that far before the DS.). Posted by TheRetroGamer02The size of a final ROM/ISO doesn't necessarily say whether a port to another platform will be possible or not. I think the size of the assets would just be a fraction of that, and from there, you could compress the images, and reduce the number of polygons in the models. Super Mario Sunshine 64 DS is a prime example of this that shows that it is indeed possible (Albeit very, very challenging.). Posted by TheRetroGamer02 I'm not sure what you're saying here. ____________________ Website | Twitter |

Posted by StapleButter Wow, that seems like a serious threat that he should face some sort of IRL consequence for. This is just getting creepy now. ____________________ Website | Twitter |

Wow. When I first saw the Hi guys i bring you my new super super mario 64 ds hack line, the lack of capitalization led me to believe this would, like GalacticPirate said, just be another derp-hack. Then I actually looked at the screenshots and videos, and, holy cow. This came out of nowhere, can't wait to play it.

I technically joined when I was 11 for some reason, but started actually contributing when I was 12, in 2015 (Starting by asking for help with the SM64DSE ASM Hacking Template.). This board will always have a special place in my heart because it's the first community I really actually was a part of, before NSMBHD/the other hacking boards, or Discord.
Happy Birthday K64! (Oh, and also, I told CamTro about this thread.) ____________________ Website | Twitter |

My preference will always be C++ with Qt. Although I've heard (And understand) plenty of complaints about Qt, I don't really hear people complaining about the former that much. The main reason I've heard is that the majority of existing tools use C# (Which, as a Linux user, is just, ugh.), so code porting from that to C++ is an annoyance.

First of all, for quicker help from more people, you might be interested in the Discord server linked in my signature.
So, I assume you're using the Mario Kart 8 Modding Central GBATemp tutorial. There's some problems with the texture hacking methods outlined here: - It tells you to put the commands in .BAT files, which for simple one-liners, really isn't necessary (As opposed to opening a command prompt, cd-ing to your working directory, and just running the command from there.). - More importantly, TexHaxU is an outdated method for injecting textures. Now, there are some better ways. One of these are BFRES Tool. If you still insist on using TexHaxU, I'll need to see the output of hax.py to see what went wrong. ____________________ Website | Twitter |

Even despite being a programmer and typing a lot, I'm not really picky when it comes to keyboards. I'm using a pretty simple USB wired keyboard, I've had no problems with it (Plus there's really no drivers or anything to deal with.).
My mouse, on the other hand, is an actual Logitech gaming mouse. Although the software for configuring it doesn't work on Linux, I noticed that the configurations I made on Windows are persisting on Linux, which is nice. ____________________ Website | Twitter |
