Not without modifying the code (which we don't know nearly enough about it yet to do so)

That should work, the original way we did it was through WiiNARC but you have to remember to drag the edited file to Yaz0dec when finished because it messes up compression when saving.

Are you going to release your findings?

Everything we know is already on the wiki.

Calm down guys, it's going to take at least a year before we're able to do anything semi-impressive. Literally all this is is renaming an object (though right now it's replacing the spring mushroom) and then connecting /EXISTING/ functions to reproduce the effects of rainbow mario. It's going to be a VERY VERY long time before we're able to make our own code.
I don't want you all to get hyped and then be disappointed when nothing happens for months.

In the map, just open it up in Anarchy.

Why are you trying to add in new files? Just open up the map in anarchy, the first dropdown is placement and the second dropdown is AreaObjInfo for areas and gravity is the second one up from the bottom in that list, IDR the name.

If you follow my instructions you'd find out. They're objects, there is no model and no "files" to look at. It's all in the map, it's hardcoded.

There is no way to make new NPCs without making new code for it.
For switches, look at the objectDB, IIRC it's documented there.

Down with phone companies who think it's okay to do this. I am very happy about this.

For some people, shitty companies like Comcast give you a limit (IE 500GB) and if you go over then you have to pay for everything more. That includes both upload and download. I'm lucky enough to be on CenturyLink and have unlimited.

Gotta support mobile :P
Back on topic: looks good, not very useful on it's own but the more information out there the better.

Because it is?
Blue Star Chips were never fully removed, they somewhat work (though IIRC they don't appear in a level ???). I could probably fix it with an ASM patch.

I really don't understand why everyone is dying for the Blue Star Chips in SMG2.

You're the one who brought it up, I should say the same to you.

Oh I forgot. But is it possible to remove the invisibly from the enemies and leave it for the lava or something?

Probably not, but Ice Mario's complete fire immunity might serve the same purpose.

Actually, that's a lie. The freezeflame obstacle gravity course had a thin layer of water over the lava. MN1 and I found that out the hard way.

Same addresses in NTSC, only the stack goes to 0x807F3188, not 0x807F8888.

That would be slightly problematic because SMG1 doesn't have a ProductMepObjDataTable (or if it does, it's a hardcoded equivalent, because I haven't found anything), and some planets might use that instead of the PlanetMapDataTable (which it thankfully does have), so I would look them on a case-by-case basis, but otherwise animations and such should work normally if added to the PlanetMapDataTable.
EDIT: I also don't know about collision, it should be the same (for flags) but IDK for a fact.

To think I was working on the exact same thing last night, only it converts gecko patches into a riivo XML.
