I like the queen bee's questionnaire. Are there different effects for the different replies, or is it merely decorational?

it is just decorational - would be kind of silly if i forced the player to actually trial and error through that. i thought it would be funny if bees would bee-omorphize humans like we antropromorphize animals.

course 12 and 13 have been finished drawing, ill, drawing a level is basically half the work of a level, so right now, this hack needs 4 course imports and 2 course drawings, meaning ~12/15th of the game is finished.

the music is jabu jabu's belly theme in an edited version. i wanted to add some more melody to the whole thing rather than it being only soundeffects (that dont exist in sm64). tell me what you think about it.

tbh i don't remember this powerup from the galaxy games (which is also why it looks so different) - so you guys will be the judge on how pleasant it is to use this powerup.

i see. sounds like a bunch of really weird design decisions in the galaxy version.

this is gonna be the next thing im working on after course 13. it is a theme park called "luna park", located on the moon. it'll have a rollercoaster, a ship whip thingy, a merry go round, a free fall and a shooting game. it's just gonna be a side level with only 2 stars though. i have 2 different themes for course 14 and 15 that i think are more interesting.

there are actually more levels located on the moon, so that gravity would get annoying really fast.

there is no way that having to wait 3 seconds for mario to fall down after jumping would be more fun than regular gameplay through a longer period of time.

there is nothing you could come up with that's beyond my limitations.
yeah, a seperate low gravity area would be fun, but having it low gravity on one part of the moon, but not on the others would be very weird and inconsistent. in the end the only thing you can do with floaty jumps is "bigger" obstacles and that is not enough to justify floaty jumps in 4 or 5 levels.

but I wonder how well it handles.

it handles perfectly well, it's pretty much exactly how you'd expect it to work.

sadly, there is no code of those left in the game that we found. We've inspected roughly 99% of the code so far - so i really don't think we are gonna find anything. Other things, like the beta trampoline, still had code left in the rom.

i have no interest in multiplayer, more playable characters might be a thing, but then just as a bonus and not as an actual thing relevant to getting the stars in the game.

that'd be alot of work for basically no gain.

yes, though certainly not the ones you would expect. the characters that appear are mostly ones that existed 20 years ago.

this level was cut out of the game, because i didn't like it too much. maybe you can still access it through some easteregg, but it won't hold a star in the end.
