Sooo.. the New 3DS is coming out November 21st THIS YEAR in Australia. US and Europe don't get it until early 2015.

Don't get your hopes up. There's still a 99% chance of this being fake. The images look way more blurry and less quality than the other chracter portraits, not to mention that ALL the other character selection images only show their head up-close (these guys show off almost their entire bodies). Sooo I'm leaving for England today to attend EGX 2014 (leaving home exactly 15 minutes after I post this)
http://www.egxlondon.net/ It's one of Europe's biggest Game conventions, and will be the first convention/event I attend outside of Norway. I'll be able to play all the E3 games and lots of other stuff. (I'm pissed about the fact that i can't play 18+ games tho. I really want to try Evolve, Borderlands TPS and Battlefield Hardline  )
Highlights will include a official SSB4 tournament (that I am set on winning!), the UK Mario Kart 8 Championship (that I cant attend because it's only for UK residents), Developer Sessions, Cosplay Contest (I won't enter obviously but I'll probably check it out) and more
I'll give you guys a summary of how things went once I return (late Sunday)

I'm BAAAAAAAACK!
Twas the best weekend ever. EGX was so hype! Nintendo hosted 4 smash bros tournaments a day. This is how they worked: - First you had to qualify within a set period (30 minutes), which is quite short considering the long queue). Qualifiers were on SSB4 3DS, 2 minutes, all items on, random stage and 4p/1v1v1v1. The one winner then advanced to the Semi-Final. 8 People advanced to the semi final per tourney - Semi-Finals were on Wii U, with the same rules as the above, but the semis and finals were on a big screen infront of thousands of people. Also getting to the semis was the only way to play SSB4 Wii U there at all. - Finals (or Grand Finals) were 1v1, Battlefield only with items on. The 8 people that qualified for the semis were spilt into 2 groups, and the winners of each group faced each other in the finals. The winner won the tournament (along with a trophy, certificate and Limited Edition 3DS XL + the game 1 week early). Personally I reached the semis on my first try, but then lost due to Sudden Death (3 of us were in Sudden Death. I instantly KOd the guy to my left but then the last guy hit me with Link's arrow while I couldn't do anything). I'm kinda sad because tbh I'm fairly sure that I was one of the most skilled people who attended the tourneys (one time a total noob managed to reach the finals. It was like a 10-year old who only knew to press the A button, and NEVER used any smash, B-move, recovery or anything). When I told my opponents I played Melee competitively they became nervous and jokingly said they'd gang up on me (it was a really good and friendly atmosphere though, and just playing was amazing )
Anyway the rest was great! I tried out Alien: Isolation for the Rift and I was speechless (Also I had to wait 2 hours in a queue to get to play it. I'm still debating if it was worth it). It really felt like I was actually there, and the newest version of Oculus Rift is MUCH better than the version I tried last year. Can't wait for them to release the finished product!
I also played stuff like Splatoon, COD, Destiny, some indie games and more. I'm so gonna attend more of these gaming events from now on

And Alien: Isolation was indeed good. I haven't tried any other Aliens game on rift, or Isolation on normal console, so I can't give an exact comparison, but right now it definitely looked better than Colonial Marines. Playing on the Rift was just breathtaking. It actually made me feel nervous and scared the first time I tried it. I shudder to imagine stuff like Silent Hill on that...... Probably not tho since the demo is limited to time matches, battlefield and such. If it IS possible then you could still only play time matches on battlefield. Funny Story: on Thursday I got a message from Amazon saying my game (+ 3ds xl) wouldnt arrive until Monday. Naturally I was really pissed (since I had even paid for priority shipping).
However the game ended up coming on Friday (as expected) and I was overjoyed. Then I bought a new SD Card (16 GB) because the 4GB one isnt enough and I had a hard time actually FINDING my game (It wasnt on a download code, there were no instructions and it wasnt pre-installed on the sd card. I eventually found out that i had to manually "redownload" it from the eshop). Anyway I've played it for over 10 hours already (although I did leave it on while I did stuff like dinner, bathroom, traning and such) and I like it a lot. I've unlocked every character and (presumably) every stage. Online is amazing and I even joined a smashboards ssb4 online tourney (made it to winners finals then lost, putting me in the loser bracket. Came then to Losers finals but lose due to One thing i dislike is how it lags online almost every match (at least now at night. worked fine this morning). the lag isn't utterly gamebreaking but i dislike how my character doesn't do the moves/attacks until 2 seconds AFTER I press the buttons. hopefully this is either because my 3DS was online WAAAY too much today or that 90% of my opponents somehow had absolute crap internet). ____________________ Former SMG2.5 Advertiser and one-time Level Designer/Artist - So Apparently Norway is rich while Denmark and Sweden are happy. Posted by Anthe I get the feeling that Bowser is this game's "Noob" character. He's REALLY easy to pick up and play, and just getting a lucky smash in can win you the game. I see tons of people pick him in For Glory that don't really know about edgeguards, combos, shorthops, shieldgrabs and such. It gets annoying.... His side-B is also notoriously cheap since it can give him an automatic victory if both players have equal stocks/score unless you know how to counter it (which most people don't know at first). Sure advanced players know how to exploit his weaknesses but they made him a little too OP Imo. I've finished page 1 (WITHOUT using any Hammers), I've only got 2 challenges left in page 2 (used only 1 hammer so far. I have enough hammers to fully clear it but I avoid hammers usually) and I'm halfway on page 3.....

It's definitely more similar to Brawl than Melee. Only major changes (that make it so people compare it to Melee) is that most attacks are much faster and have less ending lag (which allows combos and make the game faster). It has none of Melee's physics (if anything BRAWL had more Melee-like physics because you could chaingrab and there were advanced techniques like QAC and Bucket Braking). This game is much FASTER than Brawl, but "Game Speed" and "Game Physics" are a totally different thing. A Notice for people with lag:
Try and play in a room/place without any active Televisions, Phones, Laptops or PCs (or anything like that since it causes interference). Charging your 3DS also helps. Doing the above definitely cut down the lag for me (Over half the lag was gone in a empty room while charging compared to my room with the PC and Phone in it). Still lags and i wish I could have my phone or Laptop nearby because facebook/IRC/Skype, but its a small price to pay. I wish Smash 4 online was server based and not PvP. Not everyone has as good internet as me and my friends... lol I've been so hyped on Borderlands The Pre Sequel that I've ignored school, rest of internet and such
Game's just as good as BL2. Not better since while they fixed some of BL2's errors/bad shit, they also REMOVED some GOOD stuff from BL2. Here's a short overview of how the game compares to BL2 +More Exploring +Faster gameplay +Addition of Lasers + Cryo +Legendaries are more common as drops and in vendors +More and better easter eggs -Too many enemies for solo play -Many bosses don't respawn (even Minibosses) meaning no weapon farming (which was one of BL2's best stuff) -Sometimes repetitive gameplay involving trial-and-error -Number of Legendary guns reduced from BL2 -Shorter main story (thus making the game more focused on grinding/sidequests Also there are a couple of bugs and glitches in the game but that's gonna get fixed soon (hopefully) like they fixed BL2. So after seeing the Mewtwo announcement I was like "Awesome!" and the first thing i wanted to do was check youtube, forums and such for how the fans reacted. I was expecting to mostly read stuff like "OMG HYPE", "THANK YOU SAKURAI!!!!", "YES YES YES".
I lost hope in humanity after reading comments. Many of them are COMPLAINTS. People are complaining about how they need to own both games to get Mewtwo.... 1: IF YOU DONT HAVE BOTH GAMES YOU CAN BUY IT AS A SEPERATE DLC YOU FAGGOTS! 2: What he's doing is reward his most loyal fans. Why shouldn't he? ._. Seriously Smash fanboys must be the worst kind of fanboys I've seen so far (they even surpass the Sonic fans who hate every game after SA2 and the Pokemon Genwunners). There's a guy who's puttting great effort in giving the fans the character they most requested (and for FREE if you do the simple task of BUYING HIS F****** GAMES!), and they don't thank him for it. I hope he never makes Ridley playable just because of this shit. Some people don't deserve the effort Sakurai's showing here.
Sure Sakurai doesn't give us a new Melee, but he gives us damn near everything else a smash fan could want. Also if someone bothered to read this, then know that this isn't directed at you or any single person ever (but if you're like the people mentioned above then you could say I'm talking about you. I have however read about and played some pretty creepy games lately (Alien: Isolation and The Evil Within come to mind. I also re-read some creepypastas Also.....so how's the IRC now? No mibbit? What's the other option again? (is there one? XD I've always only been on mibbit so IDK.
