That sounds pretty cool. We should try to do that, but Lava isn't Transparent like water. How could Mario swim in Lava? The player wouldn't be able to see him. Nice Metallic Goombas in the vid, but I could've sworn that I read somewhere that those are beta Iron Goombas which have all the animations as a Normal Goomba except for the fact that they don't have animations for getting hit by a spin attack (And yet when you spin attacked it it had animations for it). I might be wrong though

I actually doubt it. I believe that they've noticed us already but they don't care. I mean have they ever contacted the Newer SMB Team? Agreed, but to make trailers we actually need to start MAKING new levels. Some people on the internet think that the project is dead (but I'm quick to correct them), and I wouldn't really blame them, as in the trailer we said that we would post "multiple new releases" the week we launched the trailer. mariogalaxythree I LOVE that song, but I actually find Act 1 to be too...... creepy for a Mario game, and that it sounds a little too serious (but then again Creepy is good right?).
I also find Act II to be really boss-esque. Look at what I found: A beta SMG1 Bowser Mine which is surprisingly fully functional. When placed in a level, it explodes on contact with Mario and then regenerates. Once we manage to import Beta stuff from SMG1 into SMG2, I say we should definitely use these mines in this Galaxy (or any other Bowser level generally). Traversing a minefield full of these while being shot at by Bullet Bills sounds like a cool idea to me  :

Since we're talking about Bouldergeist now, I remember there was a video of us making a "Dark Bouldergeist" (Which is a Black Bouldergeist). We could use him as the boss and add possibly some hazards to the arena.
I also read somewhere that SMG1's (maybe SMG2's too?) Bouldergeist has unused animations for sinking into the ground and popping up another place in the arena. If we manage to get that working in SMG2 (which will most likely be very hard) maybe we could incorporate that move into Dark Bouldergeist's Arsenal. Also Maybe the arena could have Boos or Dry Bones in it? I don't see the need to make overly complicated/big bosses here. I'm not saying that we should use this, but if we run out of ideas for a boss or custom bosses are too difficult then this should be considered
Also this too is "putting a spin on a classic boss" in a way

Eh I actually enjoyed it, as it added lots of more stuff to do in the game, like more stars, levels, bosses and even playable characters. I like to think of it as an expansion of SM64 in addition to remake.
Also I agree with supermariogalaxythree. Man it feels good to play SM64DS using the Circle Pad! It's almost like playing with the N64 controller!
