You have to do it in the BCSV editor.

Yeah, but how?

...But I want to add a NEW star(s) to a galaxy. How do I do that?

Also, how do you add a new layer to a galaxy (for the new Star mission)?

The problem with that is you can't generate new PowerStarIDs. You have to use an existing PowerStarID in the current galaxy, or else it will crash.

...Oh... well... Is it still possible to add a new layer to a galaxy???

Yes, either port a 3 star map to a 2 star one (I assume you're using Flip Swap) or use WiiExplorer to add it manually. Keep in mind you don't just edit the map, the scenario needs to link to the layer too.

...Well, I'm just editing the galaxy as it is, so I'm not using Flip-Swap. I'm just using the galaxy itself. (For example, I'm using Rightside Down to edit Rightside Down Galaxy.)

Are those the only ways to add a new layer to a galaxy? (How would you use WiiExplorer to add a new layer?)

you can't duplicate directly, you have to extract a folder (or all the files, you're better off doing the former) by selecting the folder and hitting the "extract" button, then clicking "add existing file/folder" to add the folder back in.

Well... I tried that, but the folder(s) wouldn't go into the proper spot (such as: my Layer A folder wouldn't be placed directly underneath the Common folder). If this is normal, the let me know! If it isn't normal, then what am I doing wrong?

EDIT: QUESTION: Also, is there any way to fix the Star overlap (caused by the 4+ gold Stars) on the Star Select screen?

That should work, the original way we did it was through WiiNARC but you have to remember to drag the edited file to Yaz0dec when finished because it messes up compression when saving.

...OK, but what is Yaz0dec?

ANOTHER (POSSIBLY STUPID) QUESTION: Is it possible to make a Green Power Star appear (similar to the Gold Power Stars in the game)???

EDIT: ...I take your silence as a "NO"?

Wut... what the h... Couldn't you select any stars or what happened?

I can select any Star EXPECT for the Green Star on the top row (just like the annotations said). The Gearmo gives you that Green Star after completing the crate-burning challenge. If you collect Green Star 2 (the one near the normal Star in the level), the game tells you that you got the hidden star. It's a really strange... discovery I made...

Then perhaps it belongs in the discoveries thread!

...IDK what "it" is, but whatever...

Did you not look at the video I posted? "It" is me swapping the "IDs" of Green Star 2 and the hidden Star in the Rightside Down Galaxy.

Yeah, pretty much. Not a huge problem, and one that can easily be fixed.

...Of course it can be easily fixed. Just come back in an hour and I (hopefully) have a video showing some level gameplay as well!

Yeah...I figured it was something like that, but I really couldn't tell for sure, given that you really didn't show anything but the stars, which AFAIK could've been an object swap. Geez, sorry for not understanding information I wasn't given.

Well, here is a video showing gameplay with the strange Star menu from earlier: http://youtu.be/j65YO41xqEU (turn annotations on)! Also, sorry that the Stars are transparent... Can't fix that issue!

It sounds like if you had messed with the PowerStarID in the Scenario file. That's the only other time something like that has happened.

The PowerStarIDs are unaffected... All I did was change which Star had a "PowerStarAppearObj" (the one used for the crate-burning minigame).

The PowerStarID or the PowerStarAppearObj (from the BCSV editor)??? (Just making sure we are talking about the same thing here.)
