Paths have control points. These are used to make curved paths. You can play around with these.

He can make it faster by playing around with obj_arg0.

There are custom and ported models.

I've finished work on all the seven galaxies that will be available in this mod. Now, we'll have to do some cleanup and fixing before we can finally release this nice hack.

Again, I've updated the main post with some new screenshots. As always, you can find more information and pictures on the official website: http://neomariogalaxy.bplaced.net/nmg/

I don't know how you would get things like ASM patches working on the emulator, so I can't help you with that. NMG uses a few memory patches so it's important to have all this stuff.

Almost finished. This is the last preview of the mod before its release. :)

Well, you still have to patch in the files. AFAIK, there's a program which handles Riivolution patches on Dolphin, but I'm not sure if it works with memory patches or cheats. I never got that tool working...

Yeah, I was talking about Dolphiilution. Thanks for the link. I'll take a look at that.

You can find the information about most of the J3D formats here, including BTK and BRK. The only format that is missing is tlk1 (BLK file), I think,

That's an amazing tool. I've already heard about that but I'm not sure if it works with SMG games.

Well, both games actually use some BMD models. The sentry beamer ring marker from SMG2 is a BMD mdoel.

^this. The object database on K64 is very VERY outdated, this one here is still intact:

For events/switches, visit this page: http://neomariogalaxy.bplaced.net/?page=thread&id=249
In your case, you can use an ExterminationSwitch and give it a unique l_id. The five starpieces would be assigned to the ExterminationSwitch with the GeneratorId setting. Then, you give the ExterminationSwitch and SuperSpinDriver the same value for their SW_A and SW_APPEAR settings, respectively.

Gravity controllers are very similar to areas because their shapes and units are identical for most of the objects. A GlobalPlaneGravityInBox object has the same shape and scale like a box/cube shaped area.

You can use Whitehole or Dossun2. However, the later one adds any missing fields in the BCAM file.

I'm working on a 4 world hack called Super Mario Galaxy 2 64, which is basically Super Mario 64 remade in SMG2. I'm eventually going to post a thread about it here.

Yeah, I was going to mention this here as well. Btw, I sent you a PM on SMG264 on the NMG board :P

What's that?

Possibly the project that they mentioned here:
http://kuribo64.net/board/thread.php?pid=84701#84701

EDIT: Damn, got ninja'd.

angleB and angleA configure the vertical and horizontal angles, respectively. More information on camera settings can be found here: http://neomariogalaxy.bplaced.net/?page=wiki&id=Cameras

You use the camera area and assign a camera from the bcam file to it. For camera areas this is done with the camera names that are prefixed with "c:"

Nope, because I don't work on Whitehole anymore, lol. Sorry. The last edits were made about one year ago.

You could also use a LightCtrlArea that moves on a circle-shaped path around the lighthouse. The lighting source is the center of the LightCtrlArea.

Whitehole v1.4 was based on v1.2 and that version didn't support path editing due to multiple object selection. Yep, that was a bad idea, because the new property grid also caused a lot of problems. I had no idea how to solve these problems... Also, the v1.4 can edit all object types...well, except for paths. It is also the first version that supported ChildObj, GeneralPos, SoundObj and ChangeObj.
