Alright, i gave the mod an update! It now uses fanfares for Bonus, Boss and Star music. Thanks to otomo, who made me find out, how these fanfares work :)

Here's the changelog:
-Added Fanfares (Star, Boss, Bonus Music and more), however, Death and Goal music still does not work
-Improved Bowser and Bowser Jr's statues from the castle theme

The green launch star restored in Super Mario Galaxy 2. It also has its unique green path color, although that's hard to notice in the screenshot.

Wow nice! I guess it works like a normal launch star. The used one in the first game has some obj_args, that are not used for normal launch stars, so i guess, it would work like a normal launch star, if these args are set to default.

Why not? GBA tracks in Retro Super Mario Kart style :)
Of course, there's not so much space for all themes, so some themes are combined into one (for example Sky Garden and Ribbon Road in second screenshot)

For me Chain Chomps and PAC MAN always looked similar, so i just wanted to try out, how Chain Chomps will look with a small texture hack, and this was the result xD

do you use blender or sketchup to model

I use usually Blender and sometimes for "blocky" models i use SketchUp. But in early days i used commonly SketchUp but i decided to learn Blender since it really has nice and time saving options.

Here's a pic of an unpolished retro-style stage i didn't touched in a while, and i possibly have to scrap it anyway, because it's not even allowed to upload a remake of an official Level, even if the models are made from scratch :P

Also, how about a small Demo? I have the idea to use some zones from some galaxies for a big Demo Galaxy, just like Nintendo it did for their E3 Demo for Super Mario Galaxy.

Hmm, i'm not sure, when this gets finished, but i could imagine that it will be finished between 2020 and 2021.

Can someone help me with this?:
I have an issue with my laptop. It frequently displays a blackscreen on the whole screen for a second, when running an emulator.

I once had this with Citra 3DS emulator, but after a month it was gone, now i have this with Dolphin.
My Pc has "Intel® Core™ i5-7200U CPU @ 2.50GHz 2.70 GHz"

I've been to a computer specialist already, but he couldn't find the solution. He tried installing lots of graphic drivers, but it was always the same result. In the end he said it's an emulator fail and i was rid of 80 € ...

I'm having major problems with converting skinned models with SuperBMD to the bdl format used by the Mario Galaxy games. This is a fatal issue that I have been struggling with in the last few months and that prevents me from making any progress such as completing the new trailer for Super Mario Gravity.

Even when exporting and re-importing original models, they become very buggy and/or simply crash the game.

The models i want to import are made entirely from scratch along with their own skeleton but sadly every model that has a skeleton gets glitchy when converted to bdl/bmd:

(the image above shows a test where i exported and reimported the unused "OtaJack" model from the first Super Mario Galaxy game)

I've tried .dae and .fbx files to convert and also looked at the character import tutorial from the Mario Kart Double Dash modding wiki since the game uses bmd files which can also be used for Mario Galaxy. Even after following the instructions, I still get the same glitchy results.
It only works for me when i set all weights from a mesh to 1 or 0 for some reason.

Here is the command i first tried for importing:
SuperBMD.exe model.dae --tristrip all --degeneratetri --bdl

I also tried multiple Blender versions for exporting.

Here are some test models i tried, it has an fbx, dae and two .arc archives with one having the bdl exported from the dae and one from the fbx.


And here is another very basic test model, that still crashes the game.

If someone can help me and/or knows another tutorial about importing skinned models, please let me know!

Here is an example of an advanced language setting. It's not just the dialogues that differ when you choose a different language!
Soon I will need the help of translators to ensure a correct translation and better names for the individual galaxies by language ^^
(Some of these may currently have translation errors, as most of them were only done via Google Translate.)

Also, recently a new update for Dolphin was released, which makes it possible to load Riivloution mods very easy. Not only does this make installation easier, but thanks to Riivolution's various options, even more languages than the original game (such as Danish, Polish and more) could be supported!

I re-created my own icons for the HUD along with HD versions. The mod will include a custom HD texture pack for the Dolphin emulator with high-resolution icons, textures and more. There will also be an option to resize the HUD to fit different monitors.
