Wow, this is actually a pretty cool idea.
Looks nice for a first cup track.

Perhaps a bit empty on the BG, but you can always add more decoration later.

I agree, it actually looks really fun to race on. (I say actually because usually I don't really care for MKDS.)


Thank you :D. I totally agree with the BG decoration. I normaly planned to give the track a lot of decorations, such as controllers, finish banner, etc, but the DS will either lag or faces will disappear.
However, i'm makig also a Wii and 7 version, that will include these scrapped things.

Hmm. There's something wrong. Whenever i add more than 1 zone to the Scenario file, the Scenario numbers will be all the time 0, even when i edit the file with Whitehole.

EDIT: Ok it has something to do with layers and not with the tool.

Offtopic:

Is there any information about layers or can someone tell me something about them? :)

I really like the new options for moving objects and such. But can you also add a duplicate option? I know that it's possible to add multiple objects, but if you want to place objects like platforms in a row, coins, red and blue platforms and such, it kills a lot of time and is really annoying to add the objects first somewhere and past the coordinates to the objects (I know it's possible to copy-paste fully coordinates, but it changes position, if you move the object, from which you copied the position. And if you paste an object into another object, both will be moved, though you only moved one object.)
It will save a lot of time :)

But other than that, the editor really got so nice! Great work ;D

Okay I thought you were using .obj files to make the texture scroll. In the case of .obj files you need to open the .mtl files in notepad to see the material name. But I didn't know you were using .dae files.

Ah ok. Then i will try it with obj files.

It would be very cool if you changed the model of the Koopa shell to say...Mario's standard kart from Mario Kart DS

That's a cool idea :) but the problem is, that the kart model will rotate when riding it. Maybe it can be disabled.

The hack got a small update:

-Added all Karts from the final game and a new one for Shy Guy (a purple Standard Kart)

-Added models for the CPU drivers

It says I can only create new galaxies. So If new zones are possible, I'm VERY blind.

Zones are just small Map folders and there is a template on the Neo Mario Galaxy forum. The important thing is the zone field in the scenario file, which could only be added with horrible hex editing, before we got dossun2.

I got it. Pretty easy.

You have to delete the light point object (that little black point). Then you have to change the Viewpoint Shading to Texture (click on the little icon on the bottom right corner and select Texture)

Err... I can't find your "Stressfree converter" tool. Couldn't we also just use the obj2bdl GUI tool?

EDIT: Found your tool. It just displays "System can't find file" or something, though i installed phyton. I've tried to edit the bat to start phyton with it, and i just got another errors and so on. Sorry to say, but i just experience the opposite of "Stress-Free" :P
Isn't it possible to use the obj2bdl GUI tool to create the bdl with vertex collours?

I've tried anything. I renamed the obj to model.obj, i opened the file as admin, i edited the bat file but nothing works. The only method i know, is using the latest obj2bdl version, that supports vertex collours, but all downloads are down.
Can you take a look at your program, since it would be a really stress-free tool, if it would work for me. Do i need a specific version of phyton or something?

Other than that, what for settings do i have to check in Blenders export options? Since i can't see any exported textures, when i export the obj file.

Alright. I made it like this, but it display this:
ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'PyQt4'
though i installed both phyton installers from Galaxy Create.

EDIT: Ok, fixed the problem. Now i have to fix the spaces in the path :P

But another question. When i export the obj in Blender, do i have to check any settings here?:

What the hell? Why does the program tell me so many times, that it could not load some textures?? They are all png and have the power of two and such. What's wrong?

And everytime i hit the program, it is another texture, that it couldn't find. What?

EDIT: Alright. I don't know, what's worng, but i think it has to do with the export settings in Blender.

Note, i first made the model in SketchUp and later imported it in Blender. But i don't think, that this could be the problem :P

Please can you tell me, which settings do you use in the export settings?

EDIT: Ok i will try to use 64x64, but shouldn't it also work with bigger textures? Which obj2bdl version are you using for the stress free tool?

No, i meant, which version of obj2bdl does the stress free tool using? I found the tool here, but the downloadlink doesn't exist anymore.

Please can you give me a screenshot of the export settings in Blender you are using for your models. Maybe it will fix the problem, because i don't know any other reason, that it doesn't work. I've checked the mtl file, i've checked any texture file, i've tried even a very simple model and the tool still tells me, that it can't find the image.

What? Is it possible to burn a fully rom hack on a disc, that works on a wii?

AFAIK, if there is a problem with something you bought on ebay, you can send it back.
