Posted by Anthe So... I literally was replaying SMG1 from scratch today. I beat him with 0 damage one both his normal run and his daredevil run. It literally couldn't have been quicker unless it was a speed run. I'm wondering what people found so hard about him. Honestly, it's just a matter of small jump/groundpound. I'd place him as easier than Boulderguist (mainly because the bombs just keep hitting eachother, his hands, or anything that isn't him) As for King Kaliente, again, like Burrows, quick as can be, never missed a melon. |

Yep yep. Also, I put spring mushroom as one of the most annoyingly hard to control powerups ever. |

Speak of the devil! I literally played that level today. I used every speedrunning technique in the book to avoid having to use the bee mushroom, but in the end I had to for that specific planet. |

It is technically pirating. Otherwise you could post downloads for every single file individually and claim it is not pirating, cause "it's only 1 file".
EDIT: But I'm not a mod, so it is really up to them. |

Haha, had the best idea for boss blitz galaxy. Instead of having all the bosses separately, why not have them all together?! That way you can run from major burrows while dodging petey pirahna, all the while gobbledegut is eating through the planet, and half is occupied by king kaliente and the other half boulderguist, etc.
That way no one would argue about which boss is harder! Of course, I highly doubt they're all compatible... |

(Speed, you forgot the "granted, but" part, so I'll cover for you.)
Posted by MercuryPenny Granted, but it scratches the disc the first time you put it in. Posted by SuperMario2 Granted but some idiot on the internet glued all the wires together in the hopes of transferring his N64 game content. I wish the SSB Wii U had a original Wii version and that the 3DS version had all the stages and characters without the obnoxious black outline surrounding them. |

I'd suggest the bee galaxy enemies, as they are the most "wood" feeling of the enemies.
Also, if you want it to feel more like the original galaxies, add more vibrant colors to the textures. Depending on the theme, light gold-brown is classic, but you could go for dark wood if you desire, in which case a dark red-brown would also look good. EDIT: That color scheme was for the internal wood, as for the back, add more orange and red to the brown color, darken them, and remove some of the green. Greenish tinted logs (even to the minor extent that yours are) are more in keeping with a ghost galaxy. |

I'm just saying that realistic tree styles don't really have the "Mario" feel to them. Just like mario water is chlorine blue, mario logs are cartoon brown. And are almost always more saturated than realistic trees. |

Oh, yeah, and if you do find textures, remember that, just because something is scalable, doesn't mean that it scales well. Your textures have what I like to call "texture dots", where when you are a certain distance away, patterns start to form. To avoid this, try to reduce the contrast on the textures.
Another trick I use is to lay multiple textures with opacity to smooth them out, then add an overlay of whatever tint I want it to be. |

No, you don't understand, that is in the initial creation of textures in photoshop or wherever. Hence the use of "texture" rather than "material". |

I want a Wii that is made out of the same material as mood rings, so I can see it working, and whether it is on or off, or if it is overheating.
EDIT: On an unrelated note, I'm a terrible student, yet I got a C in one of my classes when I didn't do any homework all semester, and homework was weighted 1/3 of the grade. I'd like to thank god for the miracles he provides to those of us who had thought that they were doomed to failure. |

I think that the concept could still be expanded on, but I hope they change the hub to be more like SMG 1, where you have more than 2 options at any one time. Also, not the really lame mario head space ship which looked like it belonged in a mario coloring book more than a SMG game. |

My only protest is "F*** NINTENDO FOR CHOOSING GOLDEN PEACH OVER DRY BONES!".
1/10 for stupid character roster. 9/10 for gameplay and graphics. |

*poke*
And that is a good looking platform, though I dislike the beveled edges on the lower platform, cause in SMG that means you could walk around the planet, and it doesn't look like you can walk around yours. But the tree could use improvement. Partially cause the kind of tree you are designing doesn't really grow bushy leaves. My suggestion would be to make it less symmetrical by moving some of the faces inward a tiny bit, so it looks less like some sort of weird stubby sex tox. |

I find all the people going "The ideas already used up" amusing, given that we're a site based around the creation of 3D mario levels, and we're still coming up with new ideas. |

I guess it depends on whether you like expansion packs
I personally think that the plot of both Galaxy games was negligible, and just the galaxies were all I cared about, to the point where I just neglected peach and finished all of them. |
